🔧 Starting This September

Nigg Skills Academy, in partnership with UHI NWH Thurso, is delivering its 16-week intensive course that opens the door to a career in Scotland’s growing energy sector.

🎓 Participants will gain:
✅ SVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations
✅ NC5 in Fabrication & Welding

These qualifications are proven routes into a Modern Apprenticeship, with many completing their trade in just 18 months to 2 years.

💷 During the 16-week course, bursary and transport support may be available to help remove barriers and support attendance.
💼 After the course, those progressing into a Modern Apprenticeship will move into an earn while you learn model — getting paid while gaining on-the-job experience.

💡 Employers: Our May intake will be apprenticeship-ready this September. With Skills Development Scotland (SDS) providing full funding, all you need to cover is wages.
