Automotive Technician: Engine Rebuilds
Position: Mechanic/Engine Rebuilder
Location: Carrowdore
Salary: £33,000 - £42,000 depending on ability and experience
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.15pm
Overtime required as necessary, paid at 1.5x hourly rate
Maintech Solutions is a growing family-run engineering business located just outside of Carrowdore. As well as rebuilding engines, we also have a machine shop for engine reconditioning, turbo reconditioning and a fuel injection service.
Currently we have a vacancy for an additional Mechanic/Engine Rebuilder to join our fully equipped workshop, with overhead cranes, ultrasonic cleaning facilities and specialist machinery.
You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding a variety of engines, ranging from agricultural, industrial & marine.
Training on new processes will be provided
🔧What you’ll be doing:
Rebuild diesel engines to manufacturer and internal quality standards, using manufacturer and in-house data
Strip down engines and diagnose faults, wear, and repair requirements
Assembling components with accuracy, following detailed build instructions
Carry out mechanical repairs independently
Contribute to team problem-solving and knowledge sharing
Occasionally communicate with customers and visit sites to resolve issues
🔧What we are looking for:
Experience as a Tractor Mechanic, Agricultural Engineer, Plant Mechanic, or similar
Strong understanding of engine components, tolerances, and diagnostic processes
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full Driving Licence
