⚓️ Ship Ahoy! ⚓️

Our P7 pupils had a very different start to their day today! Instead of heading through the school gates, they were dropped off at the docks to begin their surprise 'P7 Sail Away Day' with Stena Line. 🚢

Excitement was in the air as the children discovered where they were going and prepared to set sail for a day of adventure, fun and unforgettable memories together.

We can't wait to hear all about their experiences when they return. Bon voyage, P7 – have an amazing day! 🌊⚓️😊

A huge thank you to Ann, one of our wonderful grandparents, for kindly giving up her time to speak to our P7 class about her career as a Pharmacy Technician.

Ann shared lots of interesting information about her role and explained the opportunities for progression within the profession, from Band 4 all the way up to Band 7. She also told us about her move into lecturing and the different paths her career has taken.

Our pupils really enjoyed hearing about her experiences and learning more about careers in healthcare. Thank you again, Ann, for inspiring our P7s!❤️🖤

P7 had an amazing day today at Ballydugan Medieval Settlement celebrating the end of their Viking topic! ⚔️🛡️

The children took part in archery, axe throwing, learned all about Viking weapons and battles, and discovered what daily life was like for Vikings long ago.

The highlight of the day was definitely the exciting battle reenactment at the end! Shield walls were formed and battle cries echoed all around Ballydugan as the children stepped back in time for a true Viking experience.

A fantastic day full of fun, learning and unforgettable memories! 🪓🔥

A huge thank you to Mrs Campbell for visiting our P7 class to deliver such a fantastic and inspiring careers talk! 🌟

Mrs Campbell shared her journey into a successful 20-year career with Ulster Bank, explaining how she professionally developed over the years and progressed through a variety of management roles.

Our pupils were fascinated to learn about the many opportunities available within the banking world, including careers in financial crime and other specialist areas. 💼

Most importantly, Mrs Campbell encouraged our P7 pupils to never give up on their dreams and reminded them that one exam does not define who they are or what they can achieve. Such an important message for our young people to hear!
Thank you again, Mrs Campbell, for giving up your time to inspire and motivate our pupils. 😊
