An exciting opportunity available for a Drafts Person to join our team at Portequip.
Role Description
Portequip Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson for a full-time, on-site role based in Newton Stewart. The Draftsperson will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, updating existing designs, and collaborating with the design and production teams to develop practical solutions for agricultural and non-agricultural equipment. This role will involve working closely with engineers to ensure that designs meet customer specifications and manufacturing requirements, as well as maintaining accurate project documentation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our product innovation and improvement process.
Qualifications
Proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar drafting tools
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering concepts
Experience with technical drawing, blueprint creation, and design documentation
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to contribute to product improvements and new designs
Excellent organization and attention to detail to produce accurate and precise drawings
Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with different departments
Prior experience in agricultural, construction, or manufacturing industries is a plus
Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field
Renumeration - will depend on level of skill and experience the individual can bring to the role
