The SERENE Record Mat uses finely tuned sprung pads, each with a raised nib that focuses the record’s weight onto the springs. This activates the suspension system, allowing it to absorb micro-vibrations that conventional mats cannot effectively control.

By reducing these vibrations at the record interface, the stylus can track the groove more accurately. The result is typically tighter bass, improved clarity, better separation between instruments, and greater low-level detail across the soundstage.

“Stack Audio deserves congratulations for bringing this build, finish, and sound-quality product to the market at such a competitive price.”

HiFi+ recently spent time with the SmoothLAN Regenerator and highlighted its ability to help reveal what a streamer can do when freed from the noise and interference present on many home networks.

From improved solidity and refinement to a quieter, more natural presentation, the review explores how network optimisation can influence overall musical performance.

“It will not take long to appreciate what it can do.”

Loudspeaker isolation is often discussed in terms of stopping vibrations reaching the floor.

But the relationship between a loudspeaker, its supporting surface and the vibrations generated during playback is far more complex than that.

In our latest article, we explore how cabinet stability, energy storage and floor interaction can all influence timing, detail and stereo imaging.

From compliant isolators to spikes and particle impact damping, we take a deeper look at what’s really happening mechanically when your speakers play music.

Read more below.

Why Loudspeakers Vibrate (And Why It Matters More Than You Think) When a loudspeaker plays music, it is not only pushing air to create sound; it is also generating reactive forces within its own structure. According to Newton’s Third Law, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. As the dri...

Good to see the AUVA EQs, offered as an optional extra, featured in a recent review of Reiki Audio’s new X Series upgrades by renowned hi-fi reviewer Roy Gregory.

“What I wasn’t expecting was just how much of that focus, body and articulation comes from the AUVA feet. The Auvas’ musical impact was as hard to credit as it was to ignore.”

Roy also highlighted improvements in vocal presence, naturalness and musical communication, underlining just how sensitive high-performance digital audio remains to mechanical interference.

The AUVA Platform is now available for purchase.

Unwanted vibration reaches sensitive components and interferes with signal retrieval, regardless of how well the rest of your system is performing.

The AUVA Platform is a precision vibration isolation platform for turntables, amplifiers, DACs, streamers, and CD players. It builds on the same AUVA particle damping and CSA (Custom Silicone Absorber) isolation technologies used in our AUVA EQ feet, bringing them together in a dedicated full-size platform.

By controlling vibration in both the Core and the CSA feet, the AUVA Platform creates a stable, low-resonance foundation for the hi-fi component above, helping your equipment perform with greater clarity and control.

The Platform ships with four sets of interchangeable CSA isolation feet, matched to your equipment's weight, with a maximum load capacity of 100kg (220lbs).

RRP £1200 (EX-VAT) and comprehensively covered by our 60-day money-back guarantee.

Thanks to Darren for this great account of helping a friend fine-tune his system with several Stack Audio products.

"I spent the weekend at a good friend’s place helping him get his system set up properly and introducing a few Stack Audio products along the way. After swapping out a driver that had unfortunately arrived with a small dent, we got everything dialled in and settled down for some listening.

For consistency, we used “Ride Across the River” from Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits as our test track.

Test 1
We started by replacing the spikes on his Pearl Acoustics Model One (Sibelius) with Stack Audio Auva 50 isolators. The difference was anything but subtle. As I’ve experienced in my own system, the Auvas brought greater clarity and definition. Bass became tighter and more controlled, the midrange cleaner and more focused, and the highs smoother and more refined. The soundstage also opened up nicely—wider, more holographic, with improved imaging.

Test 2
Next, we added Auva EQ CSA 1s under his Linn LP12. Again, there was a clear step up in fidelity. The music flowed more naturally, with better PRaT and an increase in fine detail.

Test 3
We then swapped out the standard LP12 platter mat for the Stack Audio Serene Mat. This brought another uplift, everything sounded smoother and more cohesive. At this point, we weren’t just analysing the sound anymore, we were properly enjoying the music.

Test 4
Finally, we added the Stack Audio Serene Record Stabiliser. This was the icing on the cake. Improvements were across the board once again, with better flow, PRaT, and overall detail retrieval.

Conclusion
Safe to say, my friend was absolutely delighted. The system has been transformed well beyond his expectations, and all the Stack components are staying put."

Hi-Fi Huff has shared his review of the AUVA Equipment Isolators and AUVA 70s.

“The AUVAs helped bring subtle details to the forefront. It was amazing to hear the difference so clearly. I wanted to know whether it was the AUVA 70s or the EQs creating the change, so I removed the Equipment Isolators. Straight away, I noticed less treble, air and sparkle, while the bass still remained cleaner thanks to the 70s. It was clear that both isolators were making a genuine impact.”

Thank you to Steve C for providing his beautiful pictures and feedback on the SERENE Stabiliser & Mat.

“The Serene Stabiliser is quite lightweight, for a record puck, weighing in at less than 100g, and costs £195. The Serene Mat sells for £75 and both are available, together with a 60 day, money back guarantee, from The Stack Audio website.

Both items are exceptionally well made and presented in Stack Audio’s usual sturdy packaging and it is obvious that a lot of thought and innovation has gone into their design and manufacturing.

I began by replacing my usual record puck (the substantial Stillpoints LP1, weighing a “satanic” 666g on my TW Acoustics Raven One turntable (a non-suspended design, which I have owned since 2010). The heavy Stillpoints LP1 is not really suitable for a turntable with a sprung suspension, but I have used it in conjunction with my Raven One, without issue.

In comparison, the Stack Audio Serene Stabiliser lends a slightly more detailed and open presentation to the sound of vinyl, with a tight bass and more transparent midrange and treble apparent. I suspect that the weight of the Stillpoints LP1 enhances the bass at the expense of slightly suppressing the mids and highs.

There is no “leanness” to the bass when the Serene Stabiliser is used, but everything comes together, when the puck is deployed in partnership with the Serene Mat.

The combination of the two results in what I would describe as a reduction in “record roar” – the noise of the stylus tracing the record groove and resulting in a reduction in the system noise floor and overall background hash, usually associated with vinyl replay, when compared to digital.

The combination of puck and mat lends a somewhat euphoric presentation to the sound, by which I mean, that everything sounds very musical and wholesome."

Vinyl lovers often reach for record weights to tighten up playback, reduce warps, and improve stability, but the reality is more nuanced than it first appears. While they can offer real benefits in the right setup, they can also introduce trade-offs that are rarely talked about.

In our latest blog, we dig into how record weights actually work, when they help, when they don’t, and why lighter, engineered alternatives might be the better solution for many turntables.

What is a vinyl record weight? A vinyl record weight (sometimes called a record stabilizer) is a small, puck-shaped accessory that sits over the spindle on top of a record. The idea is straightforward: add mass to improve contact with the platter, reduce unwanted movement, and help flatten minor war...

Late Night Unboxing has just published his review of the AUVA Subwoofer Isolators.

Full REW measurements, including waterfall analysis, alongside detailed listening impressions, a clear look at what happens when subwoofer vibration is properly controlled.

“The moment you place your sub on them, the improvement in clarity is immediately detectable. You effectively hear more of the driver and less of the room ringing. While the difference was easily detectable on my concrete floors, I imagine it would be even more dramatic on wooden floors.”
