As a certified Cerakote applicator, we bring world-leading thin film, ceramic-infused coating technology to the aerospace industry — offering superior protection across a wide range of materials and environments.

Why Cerakote? It replaces complex multi-layer paint and powder coating systems with a single, high-performance layer applicable to ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, polymers, and composites.

Our composites department has grown significantly in recent years and now houses a state-of-the-art finishing suite, complete with multiple paint ovens, specialising in the preparation and paint finishing of composite panels for the aircraft industry.

Last week we were delighted to be invited to the Employer Engagement Breakfast hosted by Bolster Community and St Paul's High School Bessbrook at the Canal Court Hotel & Spa, Newry. Initiatives like An Droichead play a vital role in connecting education, employers and the community to create meaningful pathways into training, apprenticeships and employment for young people with Special Educational Needs.

At Exact, we strongly believe that inclusive employment is not only the right thing to do for our community, but also brings real value to businesses by developing diverse talent and strengthening the future workforce across the region. Programmes such as this demonstrate what can be achieved when schools, support organisations and employers work together with a shared purpose.

Thank you to our Engineering Manager, David Sturgeon, for representing Exact at the event and for speaking about what we offer at Exact how we will continue to support inclusive employment opportunities through work placements and future similar engagements.

We’re proud to have recently designed, manufactured, and installed a new production system for Sunrise Medical a world leader in assisted mobility device manufacturing in Nashville, TN

This bespoke solution has received outstanding feedback from the customer and will soon be delivering measurable improvements across their assembly operations.

The system features a 27 meter oval assembly line with 12 dedicated assembly stations, each supported by a custom designed kitting trolley to optimize workflow and part availability. In addition, seven bespoke load, queue, and offload stations were developed specifically to meet the customer’s operational requirements.

Engineered for mixed-model production, the line enables multiple product variants to be assembled simultaneously, providing flexibility without compromising efficiency. The system is also integrated with a Pinpoint Andon platform, which automatically highlights production delays, risks, productivity targets, and real-time assembly data.
The result will be a step change in performance, including significant productivity gains, reduced assembly times, and improved planning and kitting visibility. Most impressively, the customer has calculated a return on investment within just nine months.

We’re delighted to be a partner of choice to support such innovative manufacturers in delivering smarter, more efficient production environments and with installations completed in both UK and US we look forward to future collaborations and projects.

Airbus Atlantic Supplier Event

This week, our Operations Director, Ronan Callan, attended the Airbus Atlantic Supplier Event at the Convention Centre in Rochefort, France.

Bringing together a select group of critical suppliers, the event provided an excellent opportunity to meet with industry peers, strengthen strategic partnerships and discuss the future of aerospace manufacturing.

As a supplier of precision machined and finished components and assemblies, used in passenger seat structures, we are proud to be part of Airbus Atlantic’s trusted supply chain and to support their commitment to quality, operational efficiency and sustainable aviation.
