Purchaser / Procurement Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong purchasing and supplier management experience, particularly within the steel industry and international sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Purchasing and ordering steel products and materials
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing
• Sourcing and ordering parts from China
• Coordinating shipments and tracking deliveries
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring timely supply of materials
• Working closely with production and operations teams
• Ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards

Requirements:
• Previous experience purchasing steel products/materials is essential
• Experience sourcing and ordering parts from China
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Good understanding of import/shipping procedures
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and orders
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing systems
