Power and Control Systems Ltd are a leading company specialising in the manufacture, electrical engineering and assemble of bespoke critical power solutions.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Powder Coating Operative to join our existing team.
Job Purpose:
~To prepare, powder coat, and finish metal components and products to a high standard, ensuring quality, safety, and production targets are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
~Prepare metal surfaces for coating.
~Operate powder coating equipment to apply coatings to a variety of metal parts and assemblies.
~Ensure even application of powder and correct film thickness according to specifications.
~Load and unload components onto jigs, racks, or conveyors safely.
~Inspect finished products for quality, colour match, and consistency, reworking if required.
~Maintain coating equipment, spray guns, and booths in good working order.
~Record work completed and follow production schedules.
~Comply with all health & safety procedures, including correct use of PPE.
~Work effectively with colleagues in production, fabrication, and finishing teams.
Essential Skills & Experience:
~Previous experience in powder coating or a similar finishing role.
~Knowledge of surface preparation and coating processes.
~Ability to read and follow technical drawings, job cards, and specifications.
~Good attention to detail and ability to carry out visual quality inspections.
~Strong awareness of workplace health & safety.
~Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
