Fitted a fiamma f45 awning on a T4 transporter, put on the right way.

Holes painted and sealed before rivnuts going in and having sealer put around them before the bolts going in. Won't be any rust issues for years to come when fitted the right way.

I forgot to post this yesterday but that's the T4 interior and exterior rebuilt, trailered over to the windscreen guys for the new screen in, cleaned and delivered to the customer's mechanic ready for its next lot of work. The next project has commenced already.

Long day and a late night getting this into paint ready for a new screen going in tomorrow after getting food poisoning ...

Long day and a late night getting this into paint ready for a new screen going in tomorrow after getting food poisoning over the bank holiday weekend so not being able to get in to do it yesterday.

We work closely alongside the windscreen fitting companies whose main ask these days is that we don't put any paint on the surface that is to be bonded to, experience has taught us that their special primers tend to react with our products so by leaving it bare they can seal the exposed metal work with their own primers and we know that the screen's going to go in and never leak!

Early start tomorrow morning getting it rebuilt so we can get it on the trailer and over to have its screen in. It's never ideal when problems arise, especially when it can't be helped, but we try to go out of our way to overcome them and get things finished in a timely manner.

That's the welding all finished now. It's time to smooth it all up and get it painted up ready for the new screen going in

Another T4 transporter in for the usual around screen repairs. This has got more and more common over the last few years. See far too many cases where people say they've fixed it and all they've done is clean the rust back and painted over it. The only way to do a proper job is to cut it out and put in fresh metal.
