Received some pictures of the 1946 Indian Chief.

I helped the owner create this with his ideas 😎

We cut down aftermarket fenders, made hidden supports and strengthened them internally so no bounce or vibration.

Mounted the lights, chain guards, brake like switches, luggage racks, aftermarket horns.

Added carriers and holes to tuck the wiring etc

The main prognosis was nothing on the frame would be modified so it can go back to original as it such a rare old thing 💎

Anyhow its just come back from the bodyshop and she's all built back up and ready for her maiden voyage 😎

How cool is that 👌🏻

Sierra XR4x4. Rare old thing, forgot they even existed.

Cutting out a poor rear sill repair ended up uncovering the inner sill to floor wasnt even connected. Held together by hopes and dreams.

Typical sun roof drains rotting out the sills from the inside.

As most of the outer and middle sill were good we decided to tackle it as least invasivly as possible and cut the rot out from the inside leaving the outer sill in place.

Inner sill and floor all cut out and a new inner sill made out of fresh steel. Tied back in to the outer sill.

Next up is make the new floor sections to stitch back into the inner sill like factory. And then rear sill pocket to make and new rear outer sill.

Floor was a bit crusty and some poor previous repairs that had absolutely no strength 😬

New arches and tied everything back together properly. Floor stitched back onto chassis leg etc.

She wont win any beauty contests but there's a few more years in the old girl now 💪🏻😎

1946 Indian Chief modifications.

Crazy to think this bike is 80 years old 🤯

All modifications made to be reversible if needs be.

Aftermarket fenders cut back. Made mounts for new fenders. Created bracket for the horn. Mounted chain guard. Mounted brake light.

Next up brake light switch to mount, and stays/rear supports to make for the fenders.

Wires to tuck inside arches and rear luggage support to mount.

It looks incredible tho so far, the owner has done such a good job 😎
