Designs in Steel were first established in 2002 by Kevin Brierley, after having a background of quality control in test fabrication, testing the strength of welding in automobile for a major car company, and for other household names. Kevin decided he would offer his expertise and eye for quality to the public, and now offers all aspects of quality wrought ironwork, from design to completion. The

combination of using auto CAD (computer aided design) means that you can be sure of a perfect job every time. ADVERT FOR FULL TIME WELDER / FABRICATOR
Job Description
I am looking to recruit a full time welder/fabricator.
Use of various machinery i.e. steel worker, rollers, pillar drill, cut off saws, benders.
Use of handheld tools, grinders, drills, breakers etc.
Carry out welding tasks including MIG/TIG/ARC.
Marking out and measuring sections for cutting, shaping & drilling, preparation of drawings.
Setting up job, ensuring measurements correct before manufacture.
Working with steel 2mm – 30mm.
Installation of jobs once complete. Assisting with steel deliveries, quality inspection of own work during process.
The Person
Preferably NVQ Apprenticeship. Focused on Quality, able to produce work to a high standard.
Working independently or within a team. Be consistent, accurate. Needs to be fit as some heavy work involved.
Hours of Work
Mon – Thu 07:30 – 16:30
Fri 07:30 – 15:00
Overtime available
