Built in-house by the North Automation Group team 👷‍♂️

Designing and building the conveyors ourselves for the Simply Thank You project gave us greater control over every detail, from quality and configuration to how each section fits into the wider system.

It also meant we could tailor the equipment around Simply Thank You’s operation, creating a conveyor solution built specifically for the way their gift boxes move through the site.

We’re really proud of how this conveyor project for Simply Thank You is coming together. As it moves closer to the finish line, we’re looking forward to sharing more of the completed system in action.

We’re currently working with Simply Thank You, a Darlington-based specialist in bespoke corporate gifting. 🎁

Behind every carefully prepared gift is a busy fulfilment operation. North Automation is replacing Simply Thank You’s existing conveyor system and adding a third line to support the movement of gift boxes and packages around their facility.

These photos show the preparation taking place in our unit last week. Installation is now underway on site, and we’re looking forward to sharing the finished system soon! ⚙️

The best automation projects focus on repetitive, labour-intensive processes, freeing people to handle the tasks that require judgement, flexibility and problem-solving.

So, rather than asking, “What can we automate?”, ask: “What’s slowing our operation down the most?”

A small component with an important job!

These 3D-printed reflectors return the signal from the conveyor sensors, helping the system detect when a product is present and respond accordingly.
Another example of how 3D printing helps us create practical, purpose-built parts for our conveyor projects.

Our new signage is officially up at our new Kingsway Trade Park unit - and we absolutely love it!

A huge thank you to our neighbours at Signs Express Gateshead and Wearside for bringing it all together.
The unit is progressing every day, with more demo equipment and plenty of exciting additions arriving soon. We can’t wait to welcome visitors through the doors and start sharing more demonstrations, videos and behind-the-scenes content from our new space.

The Toppy Falcon Wings Splitter has been out and about almost constantly, demonstrating just how quickly and safely pallet changes can be carried out in real warehouse environments.
