🥊 A night of boxing for two fantastic causes!

Joe and Corie attended the Tilbury Douglas Charity Boxing event at Drayton Manor, enjoying an evening of live boxing, networking and fundraising.

With special guests including former world champions Anthony Crolla and Richie Woodhall, it was a fantastic evening supporting two brilliant causes: University Hospitals Birmingham Charity and The Corner Post Education Centre.

A big thank you to Skyline Group and Jamie McArthur for the kind invitation and for organising such a fantastic event!

We’re pleased to share that Joe Noquet has been invited to join Nottingham College’s Engineering & Electrical Industry Advisory Board.

The Board brings together industry professionals to help strengthen the connection between education and industry, ensuring students are developing the knowledge, skills and experience needed to progress into successful careers.

As an engineering consultancy, we’re passionate about supporting the next generation of engineers and creating opportunities for young people entering the industry.

Joe is looking forward to contributing his experience, sharing insight from the industry and working alongside Nottingham College and fellow industry professionals to help support the development of future engineering talent.

We’re incredibly proud to see Joe taking on this opportunity and representing NBS within the wider engineering and education community.

💎 Pandora at Fosse Park

We’re delighted to have supported the project team on the delivery of Pandora’s latest Elevated Store Concept, working alongside Pandora, Brookerflynn Architects, Quinn Contracts Ltd and the wider project team.

This project is also a special milestone for NBS, as it marks one of 14 Pandora projects we’ve helped deliver between 2024 and 2026. It’s fantastic to see our relationship with the Pandora team continue to grow and to play a part in bringing their latest retail concepts to life.

The new store features a striking bespoke internal façade, creating a real focal point as you enter the space, alongside a contemporary design that reflects Pandora’s evolving retail concept.

It’s been great to see the project progress from design through to the finished store and we’re proud to have played our part in helping deliver another successful Pandora project.

🏗️ Crown House | Project Update

We’re pleased to share an update from Crown House, where the project is now nearing completion.

Working alongside Focus Consultants and Lindum, NBS has provided technical supervision and ongoing M&E support throughout the construction phase.

Our involvement has included:

- Reviewing contractor drawings, proposals and calculations
- Checking technical compliance with relevant Building Regulations and Codes of Practice
- Providing ongoing technical support to the client and wider design team
- Attending design team meetings and supporting the project through construction
- Undertaking technical site inspections
- Identifying and raising areas of non-conformance for resolution

Our role has been to provide continued technical oversight throughout the project, helping ensure the works align with the design intent, relevant standards and project requirements as the development progresses towards completion.

A great example of how our technical supervision and M&E expertise can provide valuable support from design through to construction.

Joe and Charlie recently travelled to Denmark with S&P Ventilation for an insightful visit to the Exaustor factory in Odense.

Flying into Copenhagen before travelling to Odense, the trip provided a great opportunity to learn more about Exaustor’s ventilation products, their capabilities and how they can be applied across a range of projects.

During the visit, Joe and Charlie were given a tour of the factory, seeing first-hand how the products are manufactured and learning more about their efficiency, performance and real-world applications.

The trip also included presentations on the future direction of the company, upcoming developments and the technology they are continuing to work towards.

It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen our relationship with S&P Ventilation, expand our technical knowledge and gain a better understanding of the products and solutions available to us when designing for our projects.

A big thank you to the S&P team for hosting Joe and Charlie and for such an informative and enjoyable visit.
