We went racing at the weekend. It was the 1st race of the 2026 British Pedal Car Championship season and we had 6 cars entered into the Evesham 100 miles.
It was a cold and windy day with a bit of rain but that didn't stop us! With a few of our regulars missing this year, the teams were in need of a change around.
Our team in Chitty #3 was flying round the course for the full 5 hours: Alex, Mark, Alexander and Joe B finished in 2nd just 15 laps behind Apollo. Chitty finished with a couple of large dents in the nose from a few harsh stops - a nose job is in order!
Our black car #1 had our Joe duo (Joe P and Joe S) racing. They finished last season wanting to do something different so a duo was born! They were supposed to be going at a steady pace but finished in 6th overall and 1st duo having completed 84.8 miles!
Next in was our silver car team #9 - Jeff, Sven, Stuart and Cliff -finishing in 7th just 1 lap behind the black car having completed 84.4 miles.
Judith and Steph raced duo in the little yellow car #12. They averaged 15 mph covering over 77 miles and finished in 9th overall, 1st ladies team and 2nd duo.
Next to finish was the pink panther team #11. Brian, Paul and Matt had a good race finishing in 10th place just 2 laps behind our yellow car.
Last but not least was Jason racing solo in the blue car #21. He was very pleased to finish. And complete 52 miles! He came in 2nd solo.
Thanks go to the team for helping to set up and take down the pits. Its not the best track for access but with everyone helping, all the gear got to and from the van with ease.
Our next race is Hereford (HR4 9UD) on Sunday 3rd May. Our team is Joe P, Joe S, Mark Mx, Joseph B, Alex J, Daniele, Cliff, Alan C, Sven, Barry, Matthew, Stuart, Martin, Ryan, Anne, Judith, Steph, Jason and Paul. I do have a space for 1 more lady if anyone is out there wanting a go.
