Life gets busy really quickly:), before you know it there’s another month done!:) can’t believe we’ll be in October nxt week:), I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks that life is going past at 100miles an hour at present!:) got an fiddly couple of jobs on the go at present, with lots of fabrication work, but as always I’m grateful to be making any of it, but especially these little hearts for people:), this one to celebrate a “special” birthday:) also some hinged window bars for a period property:). These were made from a bar that was forged down to half round:). Most of you know I love walking with Tig:), and Sunday mornings you’ll find me in a field with him:), a couple of Sundays ago, I was lucky to have shared a walk with a local photographer, who took some lovely pictures of Tig:), with me with him!:). I hope everyone is enjoy the last rays of sun before the weather changes!:) many thanks:)❤️

I hope everyone has made it through the heatwave!:) I can only say it’s been a ride!:). I’ve been up to my neck with welding and fabrication work this week:), but the forge is always lit!:), and I’ve had a couple of interesting little jobs recently:). Firstly, it’s always lovely to be asked to make wedding rings:), and this one was equally special as it was for a neighbour:). As a bit of a different thing, I made a sculpture for a local charity event, this was auctioned off in the evening:) I called it “ another trip around the sun”:) this is 12 semi circles in ascending sizes, selecting the months of the year, all around a 5inch sphere:) came out quite well:), I hope it raised some needed funds for a well supported charity:), just recently I was asked to make a brand for a wedding gift:), I’ve made several brands but never as a wedding gift!:). So all in all it’s been a busy couple of weeks!:) Hope the weather hasn’t drove you all too mad!:) once again many thanks for all the support:) have a great up coming week!:)❤️ (I’ll post a video of the sculpture in the comments section:))

Firstly I must apologise:). It’s been ages since I posted on here, so for those who are interested:), I’m sorry I haven’t been more regular in updating you on what’s been happening:). Life has been really busy so far this summer, and we’re only in the middle!:). So end of June found me celebrating a big birthday (50):). And it’s left me doing quite a bit of inward thinking, as I suppose it does to most people:). I’m so very grateful to have found blacksmithing/ metalwork, and to be able to do this for work, is a real privilege, something I sometimes forget:). Pressures and demands become all I think about, and occasionally it’s nice to remember, just how much I have accomplished, but also, how much more there is to do!:). More on that in another post:). This is a very rambling way of saying “THANK YOU”, to every single person who’s recommended me, or had work done by myself. I truly appreciate everyone of you:)❤️ it’s also been 3 years since I bought home a very little Tig:). He continues to be an absolute force of nature!:) I’ll post some pictures of work ongoing and done, but this was just a msg to say, I’m still here!:), and thanks:)❤️

What a busy few weeks!:), and now we’re nearly at another bank holiday!:). It’s been a very stressful May, with lots of fabrication and forgework getting done, coupled with dad having a new shoulder, and my sister having a serious knee op, May certainly has had its moments!:) looking forward to seeing these rather substantial gates in place at a nearby pub:), I finished these up last week and they’re now at the painters:), although quite plain in design, they’re certainly heavy enough!:), also the 22mm bars pass all the way through the gate, and radius bar:). Now my heads a bit more in the game, I’ll be posting some fun stuff bits on here:). As always many thanks for your continued comments:), I hope everyone is gearing up for the bank holiday:)❤️

I’ve been a bit rubbish posting recently, sorry!:) it’s been a proper fabrication few weeks, lots of repair work, and structural work going out of the yard:). But as i stand here with the sun on my face, marking out some holes to punch, I can’t think of a better place to be:). One of the reasons I love this job is just how varied, and diverse the work can be. From big structural beam work, to gifts and garden sculptures for people, it’s all part of the job, and there’s never a dull moment:). Was recently asked to make a wedding ring for a lovely couple, out of Titanium:), excuse my fingers!:). Tig continues to grow into a lovely dog:), he’s calming a bit!:) and is a pleasure to walk (albeit he pulls like a train on the lead still!:). Lots to update here, but here’s a few pics of Tig, said ring:). And as always thanks again for you positive comments:) have a great rest of the week:)❤️

Well that’s certainly been a busy week!:) I think I’ve had the kitchen sink of work thrown at me this week:) from letterbox repairs, fabrication, exhaust making, excavator repairs, wedding ring making, and structural work, it’s certainly been a full week:) finished the week on the forge (my favourite place to work:)) continuing with the panels/ scrollwork for the mobile bar:). The weather looks like it might be turning into spring (finally), and of course the clocks go forward tonight, so hopefully the winter weather is on the wain. I’m looking forward to having a couple of days off for Easter!:). Here’s a couple of pictures of the scroll panels made, it’s going to look really special when complete:) have a great weekend:) thanks again:)❤️
