The group operates from two sites in Milton Keynes: a total of 100,000 sq ft. Precision Manufacturing, Built In-House

Another example of our end-to-end metal manufacturing capabilities.

These stainless steel pump housing assemblies are manufactured entirely in-house, combining a deep drawn pressing with a sheet metal channel, joined together through spot welding to create a robust, precise assembly.

The components also feature clinch studs fitted as part of the manufacturing process, delivering a finished assembly ready for our customer’s application.

From forming and spot welding through to stud fitting and assembly, we have the capability to manage the complete manufacturing process under one roof.

And importantly, the tooling for this project was designed and manufactured by our sister company, Ryeland Toolmakers Ltd, giving us complete control from tooling through to production.

Strikes, spares… and a few gutter balls 🎳😅

It was great to get some of the MKP team together for a bowling night – a chance to step away from the day-to-day, have a laugh and bring out everyone’s competitive side (some more than others 👀).

There were some impressive scores… and some that we’ll politely not mention, but a brilliant night all round with lots of laughs and team spirit.

A big thank you to Fowle & Co for sponsoring the evening – we really appreciate it!

Safe to say, we’ve got a few people who won’t be living their scores down anytime soon… roll on the rematch!

Some like it hot 🥵 whilst the country basked in a heatwave, schools shut and ice creams at the ready, MKP have been busy taking receipt of a new robotic welding system from in recent weeks.

Great work from the all to ensure the installation has been progressing smoothly, and of course a special thanks to our own MKP maintenance team who are supporting the build.

Cost effective automation continues to be a long-term philosophy that MKP utilise to deliver integrated process quality and lean manufacturing solutions to our customer base.

This week, our team has been manufacturing structural fabrications 🏗️ for one of our OEM customers, showcasing our end-to-end fabrication and welding expertise ⚙️.

These components have been laser cut, formed, and fully welded in-house by one of our highly skilled coded welders 👨‍🏭, working to ISO 4063 – 135 standards. By combining advanced manufacturing processes with experienced craftsmanship 🛠️, we deliver high-quality assemblies that meet the demanding requirements of our customers.

We’re proud to share a great example of what true collaboration can achieve in manufacturing.

Working closely with the engineering team at our automotive OEM customer, alongside toolmaker Whiston Industries Ltd , we helped develop a complex deep drawn metal pressing that was not only fit for purpose—but optimised for long-term production success.

From the early design stages, the focus was on ensuring the component was fully compatible with the deep drawing process. By aligning design intent with manufacturing reality, we were able to eliminate potential issues before they reached the shop floor.

The result? A robust, high-quality component supported by tooling that has now been running in production for six years—with minimal maintenance required.

This project highlights the value of early supplier involvement, open collaboration, and designing with process capability in mind. It’s a testament to what can be achieved when customer, manufacturer, and toolmaker work as one team.

At MKP, we take our customers’ build-phase needs seriously, ensuring every part supplied meets the highest standards of maturity. Here’s a great example: a 4-stage press tool, expertly manufactured by our sister company Ryeland Toolmakers Ltd, delivered ahead of schedule. This enabled our customer to carry out builds and testing using parts produced entirely through series production processes, giving them confidence in both quality and readiness.

A real team effort, and a reminder that careful planning and collaboration pay off!
