Can ultrasonic cleaning actually save a £500 injector?

After two cleaning cycles, one of these N53 injectors is now performing almost identically to the brand new one.

The other? Unfortunately beyond saving.

It won’t fix every injector, but if we can save 5 out of 6, that’s a huge saving compared to replacing them all

This N53 came in with misfires, so instead of guessing, we tested the injectors first. One is under-fuelling, another is over-fuelling, while the new injector shows exactly what the spray pattern should look like

£30 fix instead of a whole intake manifold

This N47 5 Series came in with a swirl flap fault and engine warning light. Luckily, BMW offers the swirl flap track separately on some N47s, saving the customer from replacing the complete manifold.

And the impressive part? This car has done over 240,000 miles and is still going strong

A timing chain replacement isn’t just about replacing the chain.

Part 2 on this N18 MINI and once stripped down, we found multiple pieces missing from the timing chain guides.

The problem is those pieces have to go somewhere.

If they end up blocking the oil pickup, oil flow to the engine can be restricted and you’re potentially looking at serious engine damage.

We’ve seen cars come in just weeks after having timing chains replaced elsewhere, rattling again because this part of the job was missed.

Next step, sump off, find every missing piece, then put it back together properly
