Thursday Team Talk: Beth Apicella 🗣️

Beth is a Financial Accountant for CamdenBoss and Cogent Technology.

Beth started with the business 6 years ago, starting as a Management Accountant and stepping into Financial Accountant role in 2022. She has extensive experience within finance with 17 years under her belt and is AAT qualified.

Key responsibilities in her role include managing the banking, cashflow, and HMRC obligations (including VAT and import tax), as well as month-end balance sheet reconciliations, while supporting ad-hoc projects across multiple business units. Beth enjoys the variety and challenges of the role and has grown through hands-on experience and a proactive approach - always willing to step up when the business needs it. She has witnessed the company navigate challenges and growth, highlighting the team’s resilience and adaptability.

Beth said: "As a full‑time working mum, I really value the flexibility and understanding the company offers. Sharon Piercy is a buyer for CamdenBoss.

Sharon joined the business just over a year ago, bringing with her a wealth of experience across marketing, sales, and purchasing. Thursday Team Talk: Mia Long 🗣️

Mia Long is the Internal Sales Manager at CamdenBoss.

Mia started at Camden 10 years ago in a Sales admin role, she has learnt lots along the way and her most recent role was appointed in January this year as the Internal Sales Manager.

Her current role includes day to day management and development of the internal sales administration team. Mia works with the line of business leads to ensure key accounts are fully supported and that challenges are identified, and opportunities maximised. She also oversees the introduction of systems and processes to improve and optimise sales target delivery.

Mia said: "I’m excited to support both our customers and sales admin team, whilst driving projects that deliver value internally and externally. My current focus is on our core components and enclosures, to expand business opportunities, and ensure the teams are aligned with CamdenBoss’ strategic growth initiatives. Thursday Team Talk: Abigail Holland 🗣️

Abi joined the business in 2019 as an Accounts Apprentice while studying towards her AAT Level 3 qualification. Since then, she has also completed Level 4 and is now working through her ACCA qualification - an achievement she is incredibly proud to be working towards alongside her role and family life.

Over the past seven years, Abi has progressed through several roles within the finance team, moving from Apprentice to Purchase Ledger Assistant, then Credit Controller, and now stepping into a new position as Trainee Management Accountant.

One of the things Abi values most about her journey so far is being part of such a close-knit finance team. Abi feels fortunate to work alongside likeminded colleagues who are supportive, knowledgeable and always willing to share their experience.

Abi said: "I’m really excited about what’s ahead - both for the businesses and personally. Stepping into my new role at such a pivotal time feels like a real opportunity to add value, keep developing and play a bigger part in shaping the future."

This month, Roberto, our Head of Supply Chain, Alex, our Head of Distribution and Partnerships, and Damian, our Line of Business Lead at CamdenBoss, visited Farnell, whose business with us is up 20% year-on-year 💫

The aim of the visit was for Alex to introduce Roberto and Damian, while also gaining a deeper understanding of Farnell’s priorities, challenges, and opportunities for the year ahead. Strengthening collaboration and alignment like this is key to building long-term success together.

A special congratulations to our contact, Ricky Berry, on his recent promotion to Senior Manager of Warehousing and Logistics for EMEA - a well-deserved achievement.

Ash joined the business just over 11 years ago and brings extensive experience working in the computer hardware industry, EdTech and HVAC industries, giving him a strong commercial understanding and a well-rounded view of how marketing can support growth across different industries.

Ash has a passion for all thing tech, with a special interest in SEO optimisation, maketing lead generation and....scuba diving! 🌊
