With over 40 years of experience, Dormor Machine & Engineering is a medium sized subcontract machining company specialising in large scale precision engineering projects with a lifting capacity of up to 10 tonnes. Our strength is working with customers to overcome their engineering challenges using the technical expertise of our workforce, to provide the complete optimum product. We employ highly
skilled and experienced machinists, of whom are apprentice trained in Mechanical Engineering grade NVQ Level 3 minimum (or equivalent). We have an active apprenticeship programme and currently support 5 apprentices within our workforce of over 30 personnel. Our experienced team can provide you with a comprehensive service to meet all of your engineering needs. From proof / pre inlay machine to finish machine; reverse engineering and repair. We are fully equipped and experienced in machining a wide spectrum of material grades, from cast iron to Inconel. We can provide complete supply through our purchasing team including material, coating, welding and all NDT services. Projects can be delivered anywhere in the UK & abroad. We can also offer our customers onsite inspection services with portable Faro Arm, providing you with accurate 3D inspections. In recent years, we have invested heavily in the growth of the business. We have purchased new 5 axis and 3 axis CNC machines to add to our already extensive machining capabilities, improving our efficiency, precision and productivity. We have extended our premises to more than double our workshop space and we are currently extending our facilities to the front and rear of the building to increase and improve the office and welfare areas of the business.
