A great example of our Multisec Modular Spreader Beam in action on a challenging city lift in Speyer, Germany.

Configured to 50t WLL with an 11m effective working length, the beam was used to lift and install a pedestrian bridge over live railway tracks — an operation where accuracy and confidence in the lifting arrangement are essential.

The bridge was installed in four separate sections, two measuring 18 metres and two at 24 metres, with the modular setup allowing the load to be balanced and controlled throughout the lift despite the constraints of the urban environment.

Our German distributor, HLR - Heavy Lift Rental, recently supported their client in relocating the firefighting pontoon at Hamburg’s Landungsbrücken — a key part of the renovation works on the Kehrwiederspitze quay wall. The pontoon was safely lifted and moved to its new location at Johannisbollwerk, right in front of the city’s iconic Elbphilharmonie.

To complete the lift, HLR used a 1-over-2 Multisec Modular Spreader Beam system, manufactured and supplied by Multisec. The setup combined one Multi-50 tonne beam at 10 metres with two Multi-25 tonne beams at 3 metres, supported by a full range of shackles and round slings to ensure a safe and controlled operation.

This project is a great example of how our Multisec modular system provides the flexibility and reliability needed for complex harbour and marine construction operations — ensuring safe, efficient, and precise lifting every time.

Our client captured this shot of our Multisec Multi-50 Modular Spreader Beam in action — handling the load with ease.

Engineered for demanding environments, the Multi-50 brings strength, reach, and reliability where it matters most. With spans of 9.5 metres at full capacity, extendable to 12 metres for lighter lifts, it’s built for tough jobs across construction, ports, offshore, and heavy engineering.

Always great to see our Multisec modular spreader beams doing exactly what they’re made for — heavy lifting in the toughest conditions.
