We were recently called out to look at a generator that was surging every 10 seconds.

The fault was found to be the 240v alternator windings had burnt out.

Called out to a welfare cabin that had no power but the generator was still running, we identified that the Victron was rejecting the generator's power due to being too high (280volts) we adjusted the voltage back down and the unit came back to life ready for the night shift.

What a beautiful day on a recent visit to Gibson Mill to do a 240v alternator change. The Mill is completely off-grid powered by a hydro generator from the river and solar panels with an LPG generator to top up the batteries when they need a little help.
