Ramsay and Jackson was founded in the 1940's and was originally involved in threshing contracting using steam traction engines. The sales and repair side of the business soon evolved with the three Ramsay brothers mainly Neil, Billy and Robin becoming partners with their mother Isabella Jackson and step father James Jackson. The contracting side of the business continued on until the 1970's when the last combine harvester was sold off to allow more time to be spent on the growing machinery supply and repair business. Meet the Team: Glen Dunbar👋

Meet Glen, one of our Agricultural Engineers🔧
Glen is new to the team here at R&J starting 6 weeks ago, he is already enjoying the variety the role brings.

His favourite part so far has been getting stuck into diagnostics, learning all about tractor autoguidance systems and tackling the variety of challenges that come with working on different machines🚜

When it comes to his favourite machine, it’s the Case Puma 240 CVX, and when he’s not working, you’ll likely find him out on his mountain bike🚵
We’re delighted to have Glen on the team and look forward to seeing what’s ahead!

A few highlights from a recent trip to the Merlo factory🇮🇹

We were joined by some of our customers for a behind-the-scenes look at some of Merlo’s latest construction models.

A great opportunity to get up close to the latest machinery, see what’s new and meet the team behind the machines.

A big thank you to everyone at Merlo UK for a brilliant trip, and to our customers for taking time out of their busy schedules to join us.
