Another Challenging Navimow X4 AWD Installation Completed

This wasn’t a straightforward robotic mower installation.

The customer’s ride-on mower had broken down at the beginning of the year, leaving large areas of grass completely unmanaged for months. Before we could even begin planning the robotic mower installation, we first had to reclaim the site.

Our team carried out a full initial cut-down of the overgrown areas, cutting and collecting large volumes of long grass and vegetation to bring the property back under control. This preparation work was essential to allow us to properly assess the terrain, define the mowing areas, and create a suitable environment for the robotic mower to operate effectively.

The site itself presented several challenges:

✅ Steep slopes and banks
✅ Uneven terrain
✅ Dense tree canopy and woodland surroundings
✅ Narrow access routes
✅ Areas of heavy vegetation and long grass
✅ Complex lawn layout

Once the site had been prepared, we installed the Navimow X4 AWD, a machine specifically designed for demanding terrain. The all-wheel-drive system provides exceptional grip and stability, making it perfectly suited to properties where conventional robotic mowers may struggle.

From overgrown, difficult-to-manage grassland to a fully automated mowing solution, this project demonstrates what’s possible when the correct preparation, installation expertise, and equipment are combined.

🚜🌱 Another Busy Week at SGP Garden Machinery! 🌱🚜

It’s been another fantastic week with a mixture of machinery deliveries, installations, and customer handovers across the region.

One of the highlights has been several Kress RTKn robotic mower installations, and not all of them were straightforward! From steep banks and terraced gardens to unusual lawn layouts surrounded by gravel, walls, flower beds, and multiple levels, we’ve been putting these robots through their paces. The great thing about the RTKn system is that it allows us to install robotic mowers in locations that many people would assume are impossible.

Whether it’s a simple flat lawn or a challenging, technical garden with slopes, obstacles, and awkward access points, there’s often a robotic solution available. The photos this week show just how varied these installations can be.

Alongside the robot installations, we’ve also been delivering and preparing a selection of ride-on mowers, helping customers get ready for a season of easier, more enjoyable lawn care.

Full Rebuild Completed – C2550 Back to Life ♻️🔧

This C2550 came into the workshop running like an absolute bag of nails — and that included the engine. Most people would have written it off and replaced it with a new machine… but we knew it deserved another chance.

After a huge amount of work, we’ve brought it back to life and saved the customer around a THIRD of the cost of buying new. 💪

Here’s what’s been done:

✅ Full transmission service and calibration
✅ Complete replacement cutting deck
✅ Full strip-down of the sweeper / grass collector
✅ Rust removal, welding, and reinforcement work
✅ Numerous new components fitted throughout
✅ Extensive rebuilding and refurbishment to restore reliability and performance

This wasn’t a quick tidy-up job — we invested a serious amount of time into making this machine as close to new as possible again.

Another machine saved, another happy customer, and proof that quality refurbishment can still make real financial sense. 👌

🔧 Albert was back in the workshop on Saturday! 🔧

This weekend’s lesson was all about why checking engine oil levels is so important 🛢️👨‍🔧

Albert completely stripped down a damaged engine himself to see exactly what happens when an engine is run low on oil. From the broken internal parts to the damaged crankshaft and metal debris, he got a proper hands-on look at catastrophic engine failure.

It didn’t take long to spot that the engine had definitely been “worked on” before too… and let’s just say some cowboys had clearly had their hands on it at some point 🤠.

He also finally got to put his new toolbox to work properly — and he absolutely loved it 🧰.

It’s brilliant watching his confidence and knowledge grow every time he’s in the workshop.

We don’t always post every robot mower we install… but this one definitely stood out this week. 😅🌧️

Out of the six robots we installed this week, this was the job that really tested us.

The customer’s old Husqvarna docking area had finally given up the ghost after years of natural soil build-up, grass growth, and slowly disappearing back into the bank. What looked like a straightforward changeover quickly turned into digging out the old area, reshaping the bank, and building a completely fresh setup for the new Kress 4x4 RTKn mower.

And just to make life easier… it absolutely tipped it down with rain the entire time. ☔😂
Mud everywhere, slippery banks, soaked tools — definitely not the glamorous side of robot mower installations.

But we don’t give up that easily. 💪

The customer had also been dealing with a few mobility issues, so getting a reliable autonomous mowing system back in place really mattered. Seeing the finished result made every bit of the hard work worthwhile.

Now there’s a clean new setup, a much safer and easier access point, and a Kress 4x4 mower ready to maintain this huge open area automatically with minimal effort from the customer. 🚀

These are the jobs people don’t always see behind the finished photos… but honestly, these are some of the installs we enjoy the most. 👌
