Can anybody guess what this CDI stator is off? I'll give you some clues, 1980s Japanese 4 stroke twin, fitted to 2 different cc models, the higher cc model was not a chain drive and both cc models were prone to chewing up camshaft journals.

Another Moto Morini 500 (Ducati) Stator finished and ready to be shipped back to the customer. New 3D printed charging coil bobbins were fitted and hand wound with 0.80mm wire, each coil has 2 sets of windings then they are all joined to the adjacent coil in the correct configuration, the original ignition source coil bobbin was reused but rewound. These are not 5 minute jobs.

Here is the difference of using a cheap new ignition HT coil on your CB250/400 Dream/Superdream CM etc compared to using the OE HT coil, a lot of coils people are fitting to these bikes are for TCI (or Points Ignition) not CDI, make sure you get the correct coil, or stick to the original, they rarely fail.

No rewinding was necessary on this stator for a Sherco 250/290 manufactured by Leonelli, the the twinned source coil was showing good readings and output voltages were good to, so my attention turned to the imbedded twin trigger "Hall" sensors, one sensor is for start up and low engine speeds and the other for higher engine RPM, these are very tricky to replace as they only measure 4mm x 3mm, each with 3 legs soldered to a small circuit board and imbedded in an epoxy resin, much care was taken to not damage the board. Any way, a successful repair was made and it is now all working again. I got the Hall sensors from Digikey and they came all the way from the US via UPS in less than 48hrs.

Cleared every job last week, but stators that arrived this week Yamaha DT175 (points), SR125, DT125LC Mk1, LC250, TTR225 Serrow, Kawasaki ZX12R, Honda CB250T (Dream), CG125 Brazil, CBR1000R, Moto Morini 500, Husqvarna TE511 x2 and then throw in a bunch of fire shouts, but there will be no call outs for me today as I am on A/L from the Fire Service, I can breath today.
