Ending the week with strong progress across two live projects in Lincoln.

We’ve returned to site following a short pause while earlier stages were completed by Daniel Charles Construction Ltd and are now pushing ahead with the next phase. It’s been a strong restart and a great example of how efficiently we operate when everything is in place

Meanwhile, at Lincoln City Football Club working for Gen2 Energy our first phase of works is now complete. We’ve temporarily stepped back to allow the next stages of the programme to progress, with our return scheduled for mid-May to begin steel erecting… That's the really exciting part 💥

We all know that construction is a coordinated process, where progress relies on clear communication, sequencing, and collaboration across all teams.
We remain organised, prepared, and ready to step in as soon as the next stage is ready to go.

We have some great gangs on site who continue to take pride in maintaining momentum and delivering progress 🙌

A strong week all round... Well done team RS, now ready for the bank holiday ☀️

We’re delighted to be working for Gen2 Energy & Construction Energy on the new Lincoln City FC Fan Zone at the LNER Stadium ⚽

While a significant amount of design, detailing and preparation has been taking place behind the scenes over the past few weeks, we’re now preparing to head to site in the coming days as the project moves into its next phase.

With a very tight programme in place, our team has pulled out all the stops to ensure we’re ready to deliver to the highest standard within the required timeframe. It’s been a fast-paced start, but one we’ve fully embraced.

This project means a great deal to us. As a Lincolnshire-based family business and with so many of our team being passionate supporters of Lincoln City, it’s a real honour for Rase Steels Construction & Civils Ltd to be joining forces with Gen2 Energy & Construction https://lnkd.in/eUgpenAn
to support our local club and contribute to something that holds such importance for both the club and the wider community.

Working alongside Phil & Neil at Gen 2 has been a pleasure so far, and we’re looking forward to building strong foundations for a great working relationship moving forward.

We’re really proud to share photos of this completed building project, delivered last year & still one we look back on with real pride.

The scope of works included
✅ Full steelwork package
✅ Mezzanine floor
✅ Cladding
✅ Flashings
✅ Steel doors, and canopy

A real standout feature of this project was the intricate and highly skilled cladding work, which not only performed exceptionally but also created a fantastic aesthetic finish.

With the micro-rib cladding laid horizontally to enhance the visual appeal, complemented by a striking colour combination of Anthracite, Orbit Red, and Goosewing Grey.

The finished result is both practical and architecturally impressive ...exactly the kind of project we love to be involved in.

It was great to work alongside AMS Build Concrete on this one and see the shared vision come together so successfully.

An insight from Founder & Director Rowley Boulton of Rase Steels into the last 40 years of Rase Steels, from the beginning…

“In 1986, I decided to take the leap and resigned from RH & B Moncaster in Louth. After speaking with several companies, I had worked with during my time there, many agreed to give me the opportunity to supply them with materials. That encouragement gave me the confidence I needed to go out on my own.

I secured a £10,000 overdraft facility from the bank, with my mother kindly standing surety. As it turned out, I received two goods orders for sheeting in my very first week of trading, meaning the overdraft wasn’t needed at all.

I began operating from the old Station Goods Yard in Market Rasen – where Tesco now stands – working with consignment stock from BRUNEL STEEL SERVICES LIMITED. Those first two orders were placed by good friends, David Chamberlin at Sixhills and Nev Ward from Reepham.
From the earliest days, this was very much a family effort. My wife, Judy, and my mother would come in each week to clean the office. It truly was a family unit from the very beginning.

When my eldest son Matthew left school, I encouraged him to work independently and he started MB Fabrications. Later, we joined forces and worked together.
My youngest son James, earned a place at Lancaster University, but I persuaded him to defer for a year to work with us at Rase Steels. The arrangement worked so well that university was eventually set aside.

With the support of my sons and the strength of our family working together, Rase Steels grew and prospered to become Rase Steels Construction and Civils Limited which is now located at our site on Gallamore Lane Industrial Estate — and the rest, as they say, is history.

It’s fantastic to be a thriving local business in Lincolnshire, but it’s equally rewarding to have supplied projects much further afield — from Stornoway in the far north of Scotland to Gibraltar in the south, including supplying sheet materials for the nuclear submarine dock there, which I would personally consider one of my greatest achievements of sheet supplies.

Today, we have a far larger team than in those early days. Our staff have been incredibly loyal and dedicated over the years, and every one of them plays an important part in the business.

There are many people to thank over the past 40 years — especially the suppliers who trusted me from the very start. Without our hardworking team and our loyal customers, there would be no business. For that, we owe them our sincere thanks.”

A great way to start the week with some positive project news 👋

We were recently approached by a client seeking our assistance with a commercial development comprising of 3 buildings containing 11 commercial units.

We’re pleased to share that Building 1 of 3 for this project has now been fully designed and is landing in our workshop for manufacture.

This 58-tonne steel structure will soon be making its journey to the top of Scotland, where it will be erected by one of our valued clients.

Projects like this highlight the importance of close collaboration, detailed planning, and clear communication, particularly when working on sites located so far from base. From logistics and sequencing to buildability and programme, every detail matters.

A strong start to this multi-building package and also rewarding to see our skills and services recognised across the UK, reflecting the trust clients place in us to support and deliver complex commercial projects, wherever they’re based.

Huge well done to everyone involved so far. More updates to follow as the project progresses.

Seeing as we are celebrating 40 years of a family run business, it’s only right we share some cute pictures of what could be the next generation of Rase Steels… Here’s to another 40 years!! 🤩

It’s not just the Boulton family we’ve seen through our doors.

It’s always great when our employees enjoy their work environment they also introduce their family to us.

We’ve had multiple sons, daughters, niece, nephews join our team across different departments including; ground works, cladding, structural design, administration and mechanical.

It’s fantastic when work is also family, even if it’s not blood.
Making a great work environment where everyone gets on is great to see & a joy to work within.

Happy weekend everyone ⭐️

⭐️ 40 YEARS OF RASE STEELS ⭐️
From the very beginning…

This month Rase Steels Construction & Civils Ltd turned 40!!

Our journey began in 1986 at The Station Goods Yard in the small town of Market Rasen, Lincolnshire founded by Director Rowley Boulton.

With a bigger vison for the future, the business moved to our HQ offices on the Gallamore Industrial Estate in 2003, followed by the opening our Fabrication site in 2016.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving our neighbours, friends, and clients further afield.

Sons Matthew and James Boulton played a key role in growing Rase Steels from supplying local agricultural businesses into the industrial and commercial construction company it is today.

In 2021, Chris Jackson joined the team as Project Manager. With his strong sales background, he contributed significantly to the company’s growth and was later appointed Operations Director.

Over the coming months, we’ll be celebrating this milestone by honouring the past, the present and the future of Rase Steels.

Thank you to our customers, partners, and our incredible team for being part of our journey.

Still growing and still grateful.

We couldn’t have enjoyed the last 40 years without your support.
