AS Plant are teaming up with our client Kier Group to take on a fundraising challenge in support of the Kier Foundation. Next Thursday the 14th May, we’re taking part in a boat race.

Together, we’re raising money for fantastic causes including Action for Children and other regional charities that provide vital support to local communities.

We've reached a significant milestone in phase one of the STW Sewage Treatment Works upgrade at Wanlip, Leicester, in collaboration with Kier Natural Resources. Our teams have been working tirelessly, around the clock, to lay new HV pipelines throughout the site.

🏗️ As Severn Trent’s third-largest wastewater treatment facility, Wanlip is set to enhance its capacity to serve 750,000 residents. The upgrade will increase the dry weather flow capacity by 24% and the full flow to treatment by approximately 20%. This will support tighter environmental standards and boost the site’s resilience.

I'm Abbie Evans, and I have over ten years of experience working in various roles such as accounts management, purchase ledger, subcontractor invoice management, administration, and general duties.

When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my two wonderful daughters, Lilly and Elsie. We're often found exploring toddler theme parks or enjoying creative activities together. Our family wouldn't be complete without our lovely dog, Daisy, who ensures we get our daily dose of fresh air and exercise. I also love to doom-scroll on TikTok, please don’t judge me!

I'm Georgia Sutton, office Manager and Trainee Quantity Surveyor with 8 years of experience in the job. I'm currently studying Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management at Nottingham Trent University.

In my career, I've had the opportunity to engage in various roles that have honed my abilities and broadened my perspective.
I enjoy liaising with clients and attending weekly site progress meetings to ensure everything is on track. My responsibilities also include managing accounts and sales, overseeing administration, and handling staff management.
Additionally, I am involved in transportation logistics, data management, implementing policies, and maintaining health and safety standards.

Outside of work, I have a passion for cooking, which allows me to express my creativity. I also enjoy interior design and stay active by going to the gym. Spending quality time with my family and friends is essential to me, and I love being around my two dogs, Arthur and Reggie.

Recently, we upgraded the Severn Trent Water Treatment Sewage Works at Kilburn, Derby, working in association with Eric Wright Water Ltd

- Installed new activated sludge process (ASP) lanes
- Built a new territory solids removal (TSR) system.
- Built a chemical dosing plant.
- All aspects of groundworks, including laying 375mm & 600mm concrete pipes. Installation of ductile iron pipes ranging from 100mm to 1200mm.
- All temporary works.
- Supplied Plant & Labour including: Road Sweepers, Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers & Small Tools.
- On-site approximately 24 months.

Progress photos of a job now completed at Attenborough Nature Reserve, working for Coffey.

We constructed a new final effluent pumping main from Toton Sewage Treatment Works to discharge into the River Trent. Approximately 1200 metres in length. We had shuttering joiners on site, installed concrete pads and head walls over a 12-month period.

Recently, we built the new Fanzone area, at the side of the Bishop Street Stand for Mansfield Town Football Club, which houses a new cafeteria, toilet block, and disabled toilets.

- Installation of a pumping sewer for the toilets.
- Installed a soak-away for the roof of the Bishop Street stand.
- New drainage at the side of the pitch.
- New disabled access routes.
- New palisade fencing at the gate entry point and the emergency exit at the North stand.
- Tarmacked the new car parking spaces.
- Painting of all the hoardings and old standing areas.
- Repositioned a header tank with a new pumping main, which supplies the water for the pitch sprinkler system.
