We had a great day with Ben from Talasey Ltd at our Colchester branch, taking part in advanced product training that covered composite decking, composite cladding & finishing touches 🌳

Talasey’s composite decking combines FSC-certified timber with recycled HDPE plastic, while its cladding range includes both traditional woodgrain and modern shadow-gap finishes.

"Quality isn’t simply about the products we supply. It’s about the relationships we build. Every partnership, every project and every product reflects our commitment to helping create outdoor spaces built to perform beautifully for years to come."

A great chance to build our product knowledge, ask plenty of questions & make sure we can give customers even better advice at the counter. Thanks Ben 🤝

We’re going yellow for Maddie Rose Day. Bringing the industry together to shine a light on the hidden opportunities in our sector 💛

"The Maddie Rose Foundation was created to honour the life and legacy of Maddie Rose Hollamby and her passion for promoting careers within the building materials and construction sectors.

Originally hosted by Construction Youth Trust, the Campaign quickly gained momentum, supported by a dedicated steering group of industry leaders and supporters. Over four years, it raised more than £160,000 to help inspire young people to explore rewarding careers within the industry." - Maddie Rose Foundation 🤝

📹 A big thank you to Gary, Steven, Jason, Tim, Jody, Stewart, Tariq, James, Raphael, Matt, Fiona & Steve for taking part and reminding us that yellow really is everyone’s colour.

A very big thank you to Collier & Catchpole Collier & Catchpole for their kind contributions of materials for our car park access road improvements.

The materials and hard work from our hearty crew of volunteers have made it possible to use the back field for parking through all weathers, taking the pressure off the car park in front of the village hall.

THANK YOU

RIP Mrs Jane Collier (1937 - 2026)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs Jane Collier, Widow of Mr Roy Collier and, since his death, Chairman of Collier & Catchpole Limited for many years. She will be sadly missed by the many employees who knew her over the years.

"The Collier name has been a part of the local business scene since the mid 1800’s. On our Father’s death, our Mother was keen to see the business continue to be an active part of local trades and the communities they serve. Over the years the company has employed a number of her grandchildren and she was very pleased that her grandson Jack has chosen to join the business to carry on the family legacy”.

Amanda, Janet, Edward and Lucy.

A memorial service will be held at Lexden Church, Colchester 11.30am Monday 14th September and afterwards at the Colchester Officers Club.
