Final summer update, and here's a look at some of the new equipment we have in stock.

Avolites T3 + T3wing
This compact lighting desk replaces our Avolites Arena. When paired with a touchscreen laptop and second touch screen it provides 4 universes on physical outputs and up to 16 via Art-Net or S-ACN. Being modular it can scale to the event, reducing costs for the end client. We have paired this with a high spec'd laptop with powerful graphics so that show visualisation including video can be built and tested before any light is hung.
We also stock T2 for a 2 universe laptop only option, perfect for small gigs where only a few DMX lights are needed.

Prolights Astra Hybrid330
330W LED source
Full features with linear CMY, animation wheel, two gobo wheels, three colour wheels, two prisms, and frost.
Zoom range from 3° to 50°
Control via, DMX512, RDM, ArtNet, sACN, CRMX

Prolights EclPar IPMFC
These RGB+WW IP65 rated 100W Pars are excellent for the front edge of outdoor stages or anywhere where water may be an issue.
They are fan free, so are perfect silent fixtures for theatre.

Canford Dante AI
This 2 channel analogue to Dante interface allows connection of any standard stereo analogue audio source to connect to a Dante network. Particularly useful when deploying our WPS or WPM systems with a mixing desk that does not have Dante.

We have expanded our Sennheiser radio microphone offering to 12 channels of EW300 G3-GB and 4 channels of EW500 G3-GB. These all come racked with antenna distribution and networking. Body pack transmitters are available or 835/935 handheld. A range of lavalier, lapel or headset microphones are also available.

DPA 4099 instrument microphones are now part of our stock. This class leading microphone system comes with clips to attach to just about any instrument you can think of.

VEAM 64 input 2-way split with 12 way stage boxes and cables.
Industry standard VEAM multicore and stage boxes allows a passive split of up to 64 inputs for FoH and Monitors.

After a busy summer season, here's a round-up of what we've been up to - PART 4

August ends with Glaston-Bury festival. This Bank Holiday Monday fundraising event in Bury town centre, now in its 18th year, raises funds for Bury Hospice and other local charities. 6 outdoor stages and 11 indoor performance areas sees 200+ acts across Bury town centre. Mainline once again provided production for the Mainline DJ Arena on a free of charge basis and also has an overview of all production as part of the organising team.
Stage was OSB's E36 trailer stage which we fortunately had available from the Sunday evening. This allowed us to start rigging what is a lights-heavy production the night before, saving a very early start on what is a long production day on Monday.
We partnered with local DJ and stage manager Ged G3D Birch, who provided 3 lasers and LED screen along with full graphics. The show consisted of 12 Astra Hybrid330s, 4 Atomic strobes, 8 Spectra Floods, 2 R2 wash, 4 Geysers, 2 hazers and 2 JEM ZR35 foggers.
PA was Martin Audio WPS in 6 per side arrays 1 box resolution for maximum control, 6 SXCF118 subs in a front array with WPM as front fill, LE100 stage monitors and Blackline XP15+XP118 as a stereo DJ booth monitor.
Due to the number of stages and their close proximity, many hours were spent with display 2 and display 3 audio design software to ensure spill was kept to a minimum. The whole audio system was run on Dante, from the input from the DJ mixer to FoH SQ5 and back to the 2 racks of iK42 amplifiers. That's a total available amp power of 120,000 Watts! We couldn't deploy all of it or we might have knocked the parish church steeple over!
Whilst most stages have local and regional acts, up and coming bands, tribute acts etc, the DJ Arena is proud to host international chart-topping acts. This year we welcomed Ian Van Dahl and Genie MC, Kelly Llorena (N-Trance), Ca****la, Sweet Female Attitude, Michelle Plantum, as well as local DJ's.
We also provided mic and speaker for the Poets Corner in Wax & Beans and microphones, stands and cables for The Dog House (formally Blind Tiger).
An 18 hour day and small crew puts pressure on everyone, but knowing funds are being raised for an important local charity makes it all worthwhile.

After a busy summer season, here's a round-up of what we've been up to, PART 3

Into July and a number of events with Simply Books before helping with a school production of Matilda The Musical.

Local school, St Gabriels, were in need of stage lighting, video, control and radio microphones for their production. The previously installed fixed dimming lights had been removed, leaving only the rigging bars in their main hall / theatre. Mainline provided above-stage and off-stage 150W LED SudioCOB RGBW Pars and Chauvet R2 wash, giving a good cover of fixed position and movable lighting. 12 Channels of headset microphones, belt packs and Allen & Heath SQ5 were provided for the main cast. The use of a digital desk allowed for full processing of each channel, important when working with non-professionals and lots of open mics. Feedback was kept under control and scene changes could be handled efficiently. The production is done without traditional scenery, instead using a large screen at the rear of stage and projection.
Fitting both the screen and a 16,000 lumen laser projector into a space not designed for it was a challenge.

After a hectic few weeks, July into August allowed us to take a short break from production, giving staff a much needed break and to catch up on stock management such as PAT'ing equipment and organising space in our warehouse.

Call now to connect with business.

After a busy summer season, here's a round-up of what we've been up to - PART 2

Start of June we were again providing full production for Bury Pride. Partnering with Hipswing for the provision of the stage, this event calls for everything to be built and ready on the morning of the event and out again in the evening. A ground-stacked Martin Audio WPM line array gave excellent coverage and is quick to deploy, being able to be run from just one iK81 amplifier. To keep within the tight time constraints, a simple lighting rig of Astra Hybrids and Spectra Floods with Chauvet Geysers for vertical fog effects gave a good show in daylight. This was also the first outing for our new lighting control, Avolites T3.

The following weekend we were away into Derbyshire for Solskin Festival. Now into its second year, the festival continues to grow with a wide range of acts, displays and participation events. Mainline work closely with the husband and wife team that organise the festival, ensuring we cover all eventualities. Other than the Tipi structures, Mainline takes lead on all production including power and site lighting. With early site access, build can start three days before opening, reducing pressure on our team and giving time to cover off any last minute issues. With artists from Ireland, France and Australia as well as a local pagan ceremonial team of 12, Solskin is fast becoming one of our favourite festivals to be involved with as it continues to grow.
PA was again Martin WPM with Allen & Heath Avantis at FoH, we also deployed a Dante network not only for connection to the amp, but also allowing us to record all the inputs and mix via Harrison LiveTrax. Lighting was Chauvet R2 wash and mini LED beams and spots. The Spectra Floods were again used to light the trees surrounding the site.

Coming straight out of Solskin, much of the same equipment was deployed on a private birthday festival in the grounds of Knebworth Park. This came with its own challenges, in that we could not disturb the main house and an event they were holding; sound management was critical but handled excellently by the WPM in single box resolution. Space also had to be made for a major touring band to come in and headline the Saturday night.

After a busy summer season, here's a round-up of what we've been up to - PART 1

May started with regular client East Lancs Railway and their Day Out with Thomas event. These events are a fixture in both our calendars, a favourite with children old and young. To bolster the station PA system, we provided a distributed PA for background tunes from the TV show, and a radio microphone for Sir Topham Hat to talk to the crowds of fans.

Throughout the month we supported a number of clients with equipment hire, from a few uplighters to line array elements.

End of the month brought a new project for the East Lancs Railway: Vintage Vibes. A two day mini festival of music from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Being a new venture for the ELR we were tasked with full production, including assisting with site design, running orders and compliance. We partnered with OSB Events for the provision of the stage and barriers, utilising their E48 trailer stage which fitted perfectly into the space available. PA was our ever-versatile Martin Audio WPS array. Lighting was a combination of wash from Chauvet R2 and LEDJ Spectra Floods to meet the rider of the main act and our new Prolights Astra Hybrid330s.
The Astras are an LED source fixture with an impressive beam angle from tight beam, through spot to wash. With multiple beam effects and gobos they are a versatile fixture and give an impressive output even in daylight.
We continue to update and upgrade our stock throughout the year, more details later....

The following week we were again working with Simply Books on one of their regular meet the author interviews. This time a little different. Rather than just a microphone and speaker for the interview, Simply Books took over the stunning Rex Theatre in Wilmslow, a 1930s art deco cinema. We were asked to provide PA in two areas for a singer and the interview, including in the main cinema. Martin Audio Blackline XP12s were perfect for the 150 capacity tiered auditorium and control was by the compact Allen & Heath CQ-18T

Out again last night with our smaller system.
Simply Books took over The Rex Cinema in Wilmslow for an evening of Jazz and glamour with author Fiza Saeed McLynn talking about her new book The Midnight Carousel.

We provided Martin Audio Ltd XP12s in the cinema theatre for an audience of 100 and mixed on an ALLEN & HEATH CQ18-T for the talk and singer.

Last weekend we were out on our first festival of the year. Vintage Vibes at The East Lancashire Railway. 2 days of soul, funk, groove and disco. Saturday was headlined by The Real Thing and Sunday by Masters of the Scene - Abba Tribute Show.

We must thank all the volunteers and staff of the East Lancs Railway for organising a great event, and especially Mike Moore and his team for ensuring band equipment was transfered to stage safely and efficiently.

For those interested;
PA was Martin Audio Ltd WPS (8 hang per side) with 8 SXCF118 subs in a front array, LE200 stage monitors and DD6 front fill.
Mixing was ALLEN & HEATH Avantis with Dante to amplifiers and recording.
Lighting was controlled by Avolites Tiger Touch and included CHAUVET Professional UK R2 Wash and Strike4, Prolights Astra Hybrid 330, and more.

This was the first outing for our new Prolights Astra Hybrid 330s supplied by A.C. Entertainment Technologies and boy did they perform. Even during the daytime air effects were visable in the stage haze.
