Job Type: Permanent
Location: Failsworth, Manchester
Salary: Negotiable – depending on experience level.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join a successful, well-established growing welding and fabrication company. Which is involved in a wide range of bespoke fabrications from structural steelwork to one-off exhibition pieces.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the industry and knowledge of CAD and how to create drawings with this software. The ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and producing quotations. With a full, clean driving license. However, all the above is not necessary.
Essential Skills:
• Must have a good eye for detail and be an effective communicator both written and verbally
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• To be organised, and be able to work alone and as part of a team
• Good level of computer literacy in Excel and Word
Key Duties:
• Producing quotations for various steel fabrication works in a clear, detailed and accurate manner
• Building relationships with customers and suppliers
• Traveling to construction sites and other sites to gather information and accurate measurements
• Managing all aspects of fabrication contracts from start to finish
• Produce hand drawn fabrication drawings and eventually CAD drawings (additional college course for CAD my become a viable option)
