WELDER / FABRICATOR/ FITTER - DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED **
JOB VACANCY

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a qualified Steel Fabricator/Welder/fitter/driver to join our company.

£15.00 per hour to £18.00 depending on experience of candidate, (to be discussed)

The vacancy is based in the workshop however, it involves on site installation of fabricated handrails, ballustrades, staircases , steelwork and other steel fabrications.

Some work may be required working away for installations however this is usually not frequent

A Minimum level of fabrication skills are required to apply for this vacancy. MIG/MMA/TIG Welding experience. ability to work under your own initiative required.

a driving licence is essential,

hours of work Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm Friday 1.00pm closure

CSCS card an advantage along with other training certification/qualifications

Job Type: Permanent
Location: Failsworth, Manchester
Salary: Negotiable – depending on experience level.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join a successful, well-established growing welding and fabrication company. Which is involved in a wide range of bespoke fabrications from structural steelwork to one-off exhibition pieces.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the industry and knowledge of CAD and how to create drawings with this software. The ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and producing quotations. With a full, clean driving license. However, all the above is not necessary.
Essential Skills:
• Must have a good eye for detail and be an effective communicator both written and verbally
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• To be organised, and be able to work alone and as part of a team
• Good level of computer literacy in Excel and Word
Key Duties:
• Producing quotations for various steel fabrication works in a clear, detailed and accurate manner
• Building relationships with customers and suppliers
• Traveling to construction sites and other sites to gather information and accurate measurements
• Managing all aspects of fabrication contracts from start to finish
• Produce hand drawn fabrication drawings and eventually CAD drawings (additional college course for CAD my become a viable option)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to become a part of the HMS Welding Family.
The vacancy is workshop based. However, will require on site installations of majority of products fabricated. Including, but not restricted to: Handrails, Balustrades, Staircases, Structural Steel and other Bespoke fabrications.
A minimum level of fabrication skills will be required to apply for this position. Including MIG/MMA Welding experience. Experience with TIG is an advantage. However, not crucial.
You will be required to work as part of a team as well as working under your own initiative.

A full Clean UK driving Licence is required – CSCS and other applicable training will be an advantage.

• Salary: Hourly rate is negotiable dependant/based on experience of candidate - £15.00 - £18.00 PER HR depending on skills

• Hours: Mon-Thurs 8.00am - 4.30pm Fri – 8.00am -1.00pm
• Job Type: Contract – Permanent
