Can anyone recommend a reputable and more importantly, reliable van mechanic close to Irlam as possible to look after our 4 vans?

I currently need the cam belt changing on our 66 plate Ford Transit and my 19 plate MAN TGE. 180 4x4 servicing and checking over.

I also need each van fitting with work lights & new beacons and the crane on my pick up is due a look at

A maintenance schedule would be welcomed as the vans need to be 24/7 reliable, I just ask that you answer the phone or phone me back

They dont need mass amounts of welding experience but to simply tack in place and be competent at welding 6mm plate

When the phones rings at 10.15pm on a Saturday night the last thing I'd of guessed It to be was the guys at needing an urgent repair on one of their trucks!!

So not one for letting anyone down, we had our own monster Jamie Wilson onsite at 7am this morning getting
ready for this mornings show. And as an added bonus Jamie and I have been invited to bring our families down to tonight's show as their guests

When things need doing OTIF are the ones that get it done

I'm not really Into much apart from welding, hiking up mountains and time with my kids but tonight is for the lads that are all part of the puzzle that makes us what we are.

I don't know some of these lads but I tell you, salt of the earth these are. Out in Liverpool with Jamie and his pals and its easy to see why he's become an integral part of TranZweld and why we are becoming a popular resource within our industry.

Big effort from the team these last two days getting this helical staircase installed.

Having fully replaced the lower 6 meters including full in-house fabrication of each stair tread and handrails we came across just a few minor alterations to make suit.

It's not just plant and access equipment we play with in this heavy equipment industry, if it needs fixing we will be there.

I owe a good amount of gratitude to the lads for the effort and commitment they show day in and day out. The A team get it done and working together is easy when you know how.

Final touches and painting for this 13 meter spiral staircase.
Replaced the lower 6 meters and as each existing tread was measured differently its was a definite case of measure once, twice and thrice to make sure the first and second platforms were correct.
Being collected on Tuesday for us to fit on Wednesday so time will tell if the tape measure was right!!
Jamie and Bill have had this tied up but the 2 new lads that joined us this week have been a great help on this as well as other ongoing projects.

Another of the vans MOT'd with no advisories today.

I was dubious of buying a new shape Transit from what you read in online reviews but our maintenance schedule has kept ours running sweet as a nut, so much so we bought another one! (fingers crossed I've not cursed it now🤞)

With work in East Midlands, Essex, Birmingham and Manchester this week, looking after the fleet is just as important as looking after the equipment in them. The lads don't swap and change vans either, they each have their own and do a great job looking after them too. And with a few interviews in the pipeline could see us investing in another rigged out bus in the new year but will it be another Transit????

Twelve months ago and just a few months into year 3 it was just me and Spud grafting away, but now its me, Spud, Jamie, Jason and Bill and I rub my eyes sometimes and wonder where the hell did that time go!!!

From one trusty 10 year old Transit we now currently run 4 vans with 3 being fully kitted out for most onsite repairs anywhere around the UK. We have replaced the old and increased our welding machines with some awesome bits of kit, invested in new thermic cutting equipment and will soon be taking on a 4000sqft plot with permission to build our 2nd workshop allowing us to separate the heavy equipment repairs from the intricate Tig work and MEWP repairs

Each of the lads have done a Stirling effort and worked hard to help build the business with me and I can't thank them enough for their skill and commitment and as I've not been active on any media sites since early March I've got tons of pictures of what we've been up to to stick up so hope no one gets bored 😅
