Today marks the start of Water Saving Week 🌏💧
This year, we’re focusing on something easy to overlook but vital to protect: water for wildlife.
It’s simple, the water we use at home doesn’t just come from “somewhere else.” It’s taken from rivers, lakes and underground sources that wildlife depend on to survive. Every extra litre we use is a litre taken from those ecosystems.
And right now, those systems are under real pressure. Rising demand, pollution and increasingly dry conditions mean less water, lower oxygen levels, and shrinking habitats for fish, insects and the wider food chain.
The good news is small, everyday actions really do make a difference. Start today by picking a few simple pledges to try this week. If just a handful of households cut their use, tens of thousands of litres can stay in our rivers each year, helping protect the wildlife that depends on them.
This is just the beginning, we’ve got lots coming up this week 👀
Follow along, get involved, and share what you’re doing.
