A rare sight to see! A Ford Corsair from 1967. This is one of the later versions with the V4 Essex engine. This is the 2000E model - note the vinyl-covered roof! The Corsair was a re-bodied Cortina Mk1 - longer and more comfortable for executive travel on the new motorways. The streamlined styling was very bold for the day, the wedge front taking cues from the American Ford Thunderbird. This 1949 MG YA 1250cc is a charming "oily rag" example—well-used, well-loved, and still ready for the road. First announced in 1939, the Y-Type’s debut was delayed by the war, finally reaching drivers in 1947. Its body borrowed from the humble Morris Eight but was given a distinctive MG face and tail, lending it more character and flair. Underneath, it was ahead of its time: one of the very first British cars to feature independent front suspension. Although a heavy car, with its 4-cylinder engine delivering 46bhp, the YA could top 70mph—impressive speed for its class and era, and a reminder of why MG became synonymous with spirited motoring.
