It is with great sadness that our good friend and colleague Ken Monks passed away last week.
Many of you may well have come across Ken in his capacity as Head Draughtsman at Appleton & Howard, Woolston and latterly St Helens.
Ken had a close association working on pump designs with David Hooley and Mr Clements at A&H and after ‘retiring’ Ken came to work for David at PATS. Ken visited many of our established customers throughout the Northwest. Always one for a brew and a good chat, sharing his knowledge and friendship with those he met.
Of late the Christmas lunches saw Ken, David, and Alan Dobson (of Rotating Maintenance) raising a glass to the good old days in the pump industry.
Ken will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with Joan and their son Peter at this time.
