PROJECT UPDATE

Floating Pontoon Solutions is pleased to confirm we are currently in early-stage discussions regarding a temporary modular floating link between Lytham and Southport.

The concept would utilise heavy-duty commercial pontoons to provide seasonal pedestrian and light vehicle access across the Ribble Estuary, reducing travel time between the two towns during peak summer months.

Initial feasibility considerations include:
• Tidal movement and anchoring systems
• Removable sections for marine traffic
• Pedestrian viewing areas
• Rapid deployment and removal outside of season

If approved, this would be one of the longest modular floating structures installed in the UK.

More details to follow once surveys are complete.
