A five-star hotel needs five-star nosings. 🤩

Rockliffe Hall is a five-star luxury hotel, golf and spa resort in a restored 19th-century red-brick mansion. Brass Stair Nosings, Stair Rods and Floor Trims have been fitted throughout.

External stair nosings don't have to look like an eyesore 🤔

There's a common assumption that specifying for outdoor safety means compromising on aesthetics. Big, bulky profiles that stand out for all the wrong reasons. It doesn't have to be that way.

Our external stair nosing range uses GRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic) infills, available in Black, Grey and Yellow, across a wide selection of aluminium profiles. That means you can choose a profile that fits the aesthetic of the space whilst still delivering the slip resistance and step edge visibility the environment demands.

GRP is the right material for external use because it performs where other infills struggle. It doesn't degrade in UV, holds its slip resistance values in wet and dry conditions, and is built to take the kind of punishment outdoor staircases face year round. Our GRP infills achieve slip resistance values that comfortably exceed the minimum thresholds for public areas, in both wet and dry conditions.

Safety and aesthetics are not a trade-off. The right profile delivers both.

Birmingham’s tallest residential tower, One Eastside 🤩

One Eastside is a landmark £200 million build-to-rent development rising 155 metres above Birmingham’s Eastside district. From co-working lounges and a gym to a sky bar on the 51st floor, every space was designed to a high specification, and the flooring accessories needed to match.

CAT supplied BN55 brass stair nosings and Feline T25 floor trims throughout the building, fitted by Westcotes Flooring Company. On a scheme this size, we went on site to measure every stairwell precisely.

And the result is a project we can certainly be proud of!

We're proud to have supplied stair nosings and flooring transition profiles for One Eastside, a £200m tower in Birmingham.

Our team were on-site to measure every step precisely and where standard profiles didn't quite fit, we fabricated bespoke solutions, and advised on ramp details where floor levels changed across the building.
