Engineers Without Borders, QMUL

Engineers Without Borders, QMUL EWB is a university-student organisation that creates massive small change by empowering thousands of students to remove barriers for development.

We are a student branch of the EWB UK, with members from various disciplines of study; ranging from Engineering to Economics. Our aim is to promote international development to students at Queen Mary University by raising awareness about the various barriers to development in impoverished countries around the world and try to find ways to tackle these barriers, as well as teach others to do so, th

rough organised events and simple workshops.We also aim to empower students to actively make an effort in order to achieve change through direct involvement in development projects across the developing world. We also aim to reach out to the local community through the organisation of outreach projects, where high school students can learn about the various obstacles people face in developing countries and sustainable methods they may use to overcome them; raising awareness not just among fellow university students but the local youth aswell.
