🔥 Aramco Closes $11 Billion Jafurah Midstream Deal
aramco has finalised a US$11 billion lease-and-leaseback agreement for the Jafurah Midstream Gas Project with a consortium led by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) and backed by BlackRock.
The deal grants investors rights to develop and operate the Jafurah Gas Plant and Riyas NGL Fractionation Facility, leased back to Aramco for 20 years. Aramco retains 51% ownership, with investors holding 49%.
The Jafurah Field, estimated to hold 229 trillion scf of gas and 75 billion barrels of condensate, will begin production in 2025, reaching 2 billion scfd by 2030 — strengthening Saudi Arabia’s role in global gas supply and advancing its cleaner energy strategy.
