Where NOT to Install Underfloor Heating?
Thinking about underfloor heating? It’s a great system - but there are places where it simply doesn’t make sense.
Under fixed furniture
Kitchen units, wardrobes, sofas — heat gets trapped and wasted.
Under thick carpets
They block heat from rising, making the system inefficient.
Small rooms (like box rooms)
Sometimes a radiator is more cost-effective.
Poorly insulated floors
Without insulation, heat goes down instead of up 💸
Areas with no airflow
Tight or enclosed spaces won’t distribute heat properly.
Pro Tip:
Good planning = lower running costs + better performance
