WE’RE HIRING – EXPERIENCED HIRE DESK CONTROLLER
Location: Acton, West London, W3
Salary: From £46,080 per year, depending on experience
Working hours: 6:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Job type: Full-time, permanent
Online Tool Hire is looking for an experienced Hire Desk Controller to join our busy and growing tool and plant hire business.
The role includes:
Taking hire enquiries and orders by phone, email, WhatsApp and face to face
Preparing hire contracts and associated paperwork
Coordinating deliveries and collections with drivers
Liaising with the workshop to ensure equipment is ready
Managing off-hires, stock transfers and purchase orders
Maximising hire and consumable sales
Helping maintain good fleet availability and utilisation
Providing excellent customer service
Occasionally helping customers load or unload equipment
Essential requirements
Previous experience in tool or plant hire
At least 2 years’ hire desk experience
Good working knowledge of Syrinx hire software
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good IT skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
Honest, reliable and proactive
Full UK manual driving licence
Physically able to occasionally assist with loading and unloading
English is essential. Polish or Ukrainian language skills would be an advantage.
