Balfron Tower is an iconic Grade II-listed Brutalist building designed by Ernő Goldfinger in the 1960s.

Its refurbishment presented a complex glazing challenge: improve thermal performance, airtightness and occupant comfort while respecting the original fenestration patterns, slim sightlines and architectural character of the building.

When you’re specifying glazing for façades, curtain walling, rooflights or large glazed areas, managing solar gain is critical.

Solar control glass is engineered to control how solar energy is transmitted, reflected and absorbed, reducing unwanted heat gain and glare while maintaining high levels of natural daylight.
