Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on a large Pharmaceutical Project based in Dundalk.

Our client are an internationally recognised Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation engineering contractor. They have a well-established presence in Ireland, the UK and Northern Europe, working with excellent clients across various sectors such as Datacentres, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Industrial and Commercial.

Main responsibilities and key outcomes

Prepare technical submittals
Working with 3D drawing models
Contributing to the design process
Co-ordination of installation
Ability to think outside the core Electrical discipline and integrate a multi-disciplinary approach into holistic coordinated solutions
Good planning, organisational and time management skills
Attend technical meetings and communicate with clients and project team members to establish their needs
Preparation of specifications and drawings for electrical systems
Completion of O&M manuals & As-Built Drawings
Managing Electrical RFI Schedules
Drawing Take-Offs – comparison of tender / new revisions and preparing additional works/take-off for pricing
Manage the programme of works in conjunction with the Project Manager and monitor building progress
Check Cable sizing , Lighting design , Carry out regular surveys of installations
Ensure the installations are ready for commissioning on the expected due dates
Ensuring that the technical issues are resolved without delay
Process internal procurement from equipment enquires though requisitioning and monitoring manufacture through to delivery to site whilst maintaining a comprehensive audit train
Attend and record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored and maintained within the overall construction programme
Prepare risk assessments, method statements and all aspects relating to Health and Safety on site
Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site and successful handover
Monitor and record progress on site against the construction programme
Managing the projects

Ensure that the Health and Safety, Environment and quality procedures are followed and adequate records maintained
Develop the project specific qualify plan
Work with the project manager and project teams to review and manage project from inception to handover
Undertake regular meetings with the supply chain to maintain progress and to ensure resources are matched to the construction programme
To liaise with the project manager and prepare the project close out report
Managing the people

Review with the project manager the allocation of resources and to review progress
Review and ensure that the site based personnel have the correct training and valid certificate for the project
Contribute to performance reviews of personnel on site
Motivate the team on site
Experience Required

Degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering
5 - 7 years minimum experience in a similar role is a requirement
Detailed knowledge of the Engineering role
Pharmaceutical Experience is preferable
Commercial understanding
Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Site Quality Lead (mechanically bias) to be based on a large Data Centre construction project in Dublin.

Our client are an internationally recognised Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation engineering contractor. They have a well-established presence in Ireland, the UK and Northern Europe, working with excellent clients across various sectors such as Datacentres, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Industrial and Commercial

The Site Quality Lead shall operate within the framework of the ISO documented Quality Management System on a Mechanical project environment involving the installation of heavy mechanical equipment, systems and general mechanical services.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To coordinate the establishment, implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Plan and system inspection and test plans in line with client's procedures and the Client’s specifications.
To interpret and communicate the contract Quality requirements to the client's Engineering project staff and company business functions supporting the project. Provide guidance on the implementation requirements.
To coordinate with the client on all quality related issues to ensure a consistent approach to client relationships and to investigate customer queries and complaints.
To review, audit and monitor the implementation of the Project Quality plan and procedures and Liaise with the Auditing team.
To coordinate the establishment, implementation and, maintenance of the Project inspection and test programs and associated witness point(s) time schedule on a system by system basis.
To manage the clients attendance at the agreed inspection and/or witness points in accordance with the project contract and handover programme.
To coordinate the resolution of all matters pertaining to Quality at the Project Management Team and project supervisor levels.
To coordinate the handover of all Quality Records to the Client on a system by system basis.
To promote good quality through team training sessions and benchmark activities.
Implement a structured approach towards systems handover / project completion
Effect good communication with package owners and the quality team
CAPABILITIES TO FULFIL THE ROLE:

Education

Third level degree or relevant qualification Experience in Data Centres / Industrial Projects / Pharma
A mechanical background or experience in the pharmaceutical and ICT industry would be advantageous but not essential.
Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent communication and management skills to effect clear communication with project staff including technicians, supervisors and management to deliver concise reports on installation and test progress and ultimate system completion and handover in a timely manner.

10+ years’ experience in a Quality role
Proven track record in the mechanical industry

The successful candidate will support the Project Manager and will ensure the following:

To plan the development of the project, with the responsibility of operational engineering issues.

To prepare of reports and front end studies including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material take off’s and out to tender schedules.

To prepare of technical and contract documentation for issue and analysing returned tenders.

Keeping up to date the delivery schedule to control deliveries

Seeking to clarify queries with the Design team through the request for information (RFI) system

Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports

Producing look ahead programs to assist production.

Preparing method statements and risk assessments (with construction team) for production activities

Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging

Over 100 active sites in the UK at any one time so lots of potential to move site to site for long term work.

Te client does high end retail units across Europe with some amazing projects.

Previous experience with high end joiner is a must.

The works to be carried out will be anything from kitchen fitting to hanging doors from bespoke joinery installation to frame building.

Must have CSCS, safety boots & basic hand tools.

PPE provided.

1 month initial work but as above can be ongoing

Pay varies on experience and project - £160 to £180
