Reno-Tech in Llandudno Junction is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician, ideally with MOT Tester status (or willing to obtain).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, busy garage with a strong local reputation.

The Role:
• Servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Carrying out MOTs (if qualified)
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service

The Ideal Candidate:
• Experienced Vehicle Technician
• MOT Tester qualification preferred (but not essential)
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
• Good diagnostic skills and attention to detail

Customer’s vehicle recovered in due to non start after an attempt had been made to use jump leads on the vehicle, but put them on the wrong way round.

The vehicle was a Lexus Hybrid, but with EV and Hybrid training to Level 4 standard and being members of the HEVRA network we were confident in diagnosing and repairing the vehicle.

After consulting relevant documentation and using the latest diagnostic equipment the fault was traced to several blown fuses associated with the Hybrid and Engine systems.

Once repaired, the vehicle was returned to a very satisfied customer who thought who thought initially that it would have to be taken to a main dealer.

At Reno-Tech we can carry out servicing, MOT testing and repairs on your Hybrid or Electric vehicle.

***6 MONTH MOT EXTENSION TO END 31st JULY***

If your vehicle is due it’s MOT test from the 1st August it will be a mandatory requirement to have your vehicle tested.

At Reno-Tech we can carry this out for you hassle free, also offering a local pick up and drop off service if you require, prices start from £30( when booked with a service).

The existing six month extension will still apply to vehicles due before August 1st but however it will still be the owner’s responsibility to be properly maintained and kept in a roadworthy condition.

All vehicle will be cleaned down before returning to the owner and social distancing requirements have been implemented at the garage.

We are currently still open if you need any urgent repairs carrying out on your vehicle.

Remember that the current MOT 6 month extension is a rolling one so, the extended date does not apply until 7 days before it’s due(example MOT due May 1st, due date extended on 23rd April) so bear this in mind, it is still the driver’s responsibility to keep the vehicle in a roadworthy condition.

If you are still needing to use your vehicle we can carry out necessary checks to keep you on the road safely and legally.
