Spreading joy this Christmas 🎄

While Christmas is a time of celebration for many, it can also be challenging for families facing hardship. The UK team are proud to support our local community in Kirkby through the Kirkby Toy Appeal, helping to bring smiles to children and families in need.

This incredible initiative has supported over 400 families this year, and we’re honoured to have contributed to making a difference. Our hope is that these efforts bring joy and comfort to children and their families on Christmas Day.

A huge thank you to the volunteers and organisers who make this possible – your dedication truly changes lives. Thank you to all employees that donated to this amazing cause.

Clarke Energy, a Rehlko company, and INNIO Group are collaborating on a landmark project with Statera Energy to support UK grid stability and flexibility.⚡🔒

The full fleet of Jenbacher J624 engines have now been supplied to Thurrock Power, one of the world’s largest high-speed gas engine peaking plants. The 450MW flexible generation facility, being constructed by Statera Energy, will provide reliable, fast-start power to strengthen the grid in southeast England and power up to 1 million UK homes once fully operational.

The project also sits alongside Statera's Thurrock Storage site, a 300MW / 600MWh co-located battery energy storage system (BESS) designed to integrate with intermittent renewables.

Ben Wilson, Managing Director of Clarke Energy, commented:

INNIO Group’s innovative Jenbacher gas engines provide unmatched responsiveness and scalability, ensuring reliable power when and where it’s needed. We are thrilled to announce the successful commissioning of Clarke Energy India's first membrane-based biogas upgrading plant, marking a significant milestone in the country’s clean energy transition. 🌱

The announcement coincides with the UK Prime Minister’s visit to India as part of a wider UK–India trade delegation, aimed at strengthening economic ties, promoting investment, and supporting long-term partnerships across key industries, including energy, infrastructure, and innovation.

The facility is located at a municipal solid waste anaerobic digestion site operated by Srinivas Waste Management Services Private Limited (SWMS) in Chetpet, Chennai, supporting India’s initiative to promote sustainable bio-CNG.

Clarke Energy, a Rehlko company, has operated in India for 30 years, having installed almost 2 GW of low-carbon, renewable and resilient power across India and Bangladesh - a true success story in UK–India business collaboration.

Today we held our annual Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning – and what a fantastic turnout we had!

From homemade bakes to shop-bought treats, the Clarke Energy Team came together to raise funds for Macmillan and enjoyed a well-deserved break over coffee and cake!

Every pound raised helps Macmillan continue their incredible work supporting people living with cancer. We are proud to do our bit and grateful to everyone who donated.

Clarke Energy Romania team-building at Sunny Beach 🌅👩🏻‍🍳

Our Clarke Energy staff in Romania recently enjoyed a team-building outing on the Bulgarian seaside at Sunny Beach resort. The aim for the event was to strengthen collaboration, boost motivation and, most importantly, spend quality time together.

Colleagues joined in with plenty of activities, from singing and dancing to storytelling and a light-hearted MasterChef-style competition. To keep things fun and encourage teamwork, we pulled names from a hat to create mixed teams, which sparked plenty of laughs and friendly rivalry.

A big thank you to everyone for the energy and enthusiasm you brought. The laughter, teamwork and new memories made it a fantastic experience. We finished the trip with a sunset boat ride, a truly memorable way to wrap up a memorable day together.
