At Riverside there are three ways to do that, and which one suits depends on the job. We can arrange delivery to your site. We can send parts by courier. Or you can collect them from us.

A bulky fabrication going to a building site is a different problem from a small batch of parts that needs to reach a workshop quickly. We would rather agree the right method with you when we discuss the job than assume.

Tell us where the parts need to be and when, and we will work out how to get them there. If timing is tight, say so at the start, because it affects how the whole job is planned.

That conversation takes a few minutes, and it is much easier to have before work starts than after.

A metal part arrives on site and it is the wrong size. Not by much. Close enough that you think it might work. Then you try to fit it and it does not.

At Riverside, every part is checked against the drawing before it leaves the workshop. Not a glance. A proper check, because a millimetre out on a bracket can stall an install while someone works out why it will not line up.

Call a large fabrication supplier with a question at three o'clock on a Friday and someone gets back to you Monday. Call us and you get Stephanie. That's not a selling point, it's just how we work.

She knows who you are. She knows what you're building. If something changed or you spotted a problem, she understands the actual job, not just the order number. No transfers between departments. No explaining it twice to someone who wasn't there when you first talked through what you needed.

A fabricator who promises Friday and delivers the following Thursday isn't unreliable because they're lazy. They're unreliable because they quoted the job without actually working out how long it takes. They built in hope instead of time.

That kills projects. It kills budgets. It kills the trust you need to sleep at night when you've got a site waiting.

When we quote a delivery date, we work backwards from what the job actually needs. How long the material takes to arrive. How long TIG welding takes at the tolerances you need. How long powder coating takes to cure properly, not rush dry. If there's checking to do, we add that time too. Then we add a day because reality is messier than a spreadsheet.

Mild steel or stainless. Powder coated or galvanised. Bolted or welded. These aren't small choices tucked at the end of a spec, they're decisions that determine whether a part still looks and performs the way it should in five years, not just on delivery day.

Mild steel is cheaper and easier to work with, but it needs a genuine finish, not just paint, if it's going anywhere near moisture or outdoor exposure. Stainless costs more upfront and needs no ongoing protection, which changes the real lifetime cost even though the initial quote looks higher. Galvanising before powder coating gives real corrosion protection underneath the finish, not just on top of it, which matters if the part is ever going to get scratched or knocked in use.

Getting this right at the quoting stage avoids a much more expensive conversation two years later, when a part that looked fine on delivery starts rusting from the inside because the wrong finish was chosen for the wrong environment.
