Kiverco have just wrapped up an inspiring 4-week STEM primary school programme, delivered in partnership with MEGA.

Students at Walker Memorial Primary School visited Kiverco to see their recycling machines, followed by three weeks of hands-on, classroom workshop to design and build a Density Separator using the Engineering Design Process.

Programmes like this introduce students to careers in manufacturing and engineering from an early age, as most career choices stem from childhood experiences. At the end of the programme, nearly half of the class at Walker Memorial said they would consider a career in engineering.

A huge welcome to Rathbanna Craftworkers in Metal since 1895 to the MEGA network following our visit on 19th May.

Maria and Elita really enjoyed meeting James and Eoin O’Neill and hearing more about the business and their plans for the future.

They may be a small team, but what they produce is nothing short of incredible. For over 120 years, Rathbanna have been creating beautiful bespoke metalwork for some truly prestigious settings including bars, spas, hotels, luxury residential properties and even Claridge’s London and Adare Manor.

From TIG welding and fabrication to highly detailed CNC metalwork, the level of precision and craftsmanship in their work is exceptional.

As they continue to grow, they are looking to strengthen their team and MEGA will be supporting them on that journey, including plans to take on apprentices in the future.

A fantastic example of a traditional fourth generation manufacturing business combining heritage, precision and quality craftsmanship.
