Job Position Available - Service & repair technician
Operating hours
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
Friday - 8am to 2pm
Overtime paid at time & a half
On call once every 6 weeks - £50 for being on call and £100 for each callout covering your first hour on site each additional hour paid at time & a half
*Key Responsibilities*
• Adhere to safe and considered methods of working at all times
• Carry out servicing and repairs on industrial & commercial doors and loading bay equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Conduct fault finding exercises
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Provide clear handovers and reports on completed works
• Complete all administrative duties using WorkPal job management software
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and relevant standards
*Requirements*
•Minimum 2–3 years’ experience within the industrial door / loading bay industry (essential)
• Formal Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification (desired but time served / experience will also be accepted)
• Strong experience fault finding on control panels, safety edges, photocells, light curtains, interlocks, and associated systems
Solid mechanical knowledge (motors, gearboxes, bearings, encoders, clutches)
•Experience working with 3-phase systems and control circuits
•Full UK driving licence (essential)
•Comfortable working independently and managing workload
•Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
•Professional and customer-focused approach
