Key Responsibilities:
As a Forklift Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the operation of forklifts for various customers across the region. Key duties include:
• Customer Interaction:
• Travel to customer locations across the West Midlands, representing the company in a professional and friendly manner.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and technical support.
• Technical Expertise:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot forklift breakdowns efficiently, identifying and resolving issues on-site where possible.
• Carry out regular scheduled services and preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and longevity of forklifts.
• Repair and replace parts, from mechanical components to electrical systems, using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
• Support and Consultation:
• Offer technical advice and guidance to customers on forklift maintenance, operational tips, and preventive care.
• Work with the team to improve service processes and find solutions to recurring technical issues.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking dedicated engineers with the following skills and qualities:
• Experience in Forklift Engineering or a related field (mechanical/electrical engineering). Experience with different forklift models and manufacturers is highly desirable.
• Customer-focused mindset with a proven track record of providing quality service and building client relationships.
• Technical Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklift trucks, including familiarity with hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines.
• Adaptability and Problem-Solving Skills to handle on-site challenges and respond to a variety of technical issues efficiently.
• Self-Motivation and Initiative to work independently while managing a varied workload across different locations.
