HGV Class 2 delivery driver

Responsible To: Director

Depot Location: Croston

Hours: 08.00 – 17.30, Monday – Friday.

As with all roles at Readyplant Limited reasonable flexibility is a requirement of the role.

Responsibilities

The advertised role is for a CLASS 2 HGV driver to drive a rigid loader.
The driver’s duties include but may not be limited to:
• loading/unloading plant equipment
• delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from the customer site locations
• completing relevant off hire checks
• Ensuring any material damages are reported to the depot
• Providing general assistance within the depot location as required

Role Requirements:
• Previous experience of delivering plant equipment preferred, although training will be given to any successful candidate
• Class 2 HGV licence - essential
• Driver CPC - full 35 hours completed – preferred

Readyplant Ltd are looking for an engineer to join our family run team.

Running a fleet of JCB, Sany, Thwaites, and Caterpillar machines – plus various others – we pride ourselves on serving our customers to the highest standards possible.

Alongside looking after our own fleet, we can offer service, maintenance, and Inspection of customers machines either on site or at our location.

Main Responsibilities:

Field Service Engineer covering the below on various equipment, both in the depot and on site.

• Routine maintenance and breakdowns on machinery
• Warranty repairs.
• Damage repairs.
• Site visits across the northwest
• Clear and detailed reporting of work carried out and repairs necessary

Work experience requirements:

• Strong background in Plant industry essential.
• Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including Engine diagnostics
• Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment
• Excellent level of attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Preferred dealer experience but not essential

Additional Responsibilities:

• Care of company vehicle and reporting of defects
• Good communication with customers and other team members

Full UK Driving Licence required

Hours – Monday – Friday 8am – 5.30pm (some flexibility needed)

Holiday – 28 days (including Bank holidays) plus 2 weeks Christmas/New Year Break

This morning, in the Ormskirk area, South Rural Task Force executed a warrant and seized £80,000 worth of plant machinery which has now been returned to a very relieved owner. With information that led to the warrant 'hot off the press' a dynamic response was required from the team to ensure the property was not moved on before intervention. We would like to thank our colleagues in the Stolen Vehicle Unit, the National Construction & Agricultural Theft Team and our Urban Task Force for both their assistance and expertise at very short notice. Only limited details can be passed at this time due to this being an ongoing investigation.

Agricultural offences continue to be a high priority for the team and we will leave no stone unturned when investigating these crimes as we seek to prosecute all those involved. Please keep vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the team.

MOBILE PLANT FITTER

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mobile Plant Mechanic at Readyplant Ltd in Croston. The Mobile Plant Mechanic will be responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant equipment, including excavators, tele-handlers, scissor lifts, rollers, dumpers, and hydraulic breakers.

Qualifications

Experience in maintaining and repairing plant equipment such as Excavators, Tele-handlers, and scissor lifts
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical components
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively
Experience with preventive maintenance practices
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant certification or vocational training in Plant Mechanics
