Here’s a big shout out to our team on the ground at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia doing the painstaking setting-out in preparation for the track branding for . Before a single drop of paint hits the run-off areas, there’s a ton of work going on behind the scenes.
They measure – and then measure again, and again. They set out reference points using the traditional techniques of string lines, datum points and surface checks - techniques that have worked for decades.
But alongside that, they’re using the latest , software and goggles to map out the logos digitally. It allows them to visualise the
design at scale and check alignment before they commit to the final logos. It speeds things up, but it doesn’t replace experience.
Even with the latest technology, there’s still a point where someone has to stand back, look at it, and make the call, which our guys confidently do after years in the trade.
When human and machines work together, beautiful results happen.
