last time I posted , I was just getting back to working after chewing up my hand....been flat out ever since , made more subframes in the last 3 months than in the previous year ! working so fast that I keep running out of parts....yep , ran out again , even though I re-ordered when stocks were only a bit low . madness !

I've not posted here for a while - always too busy ! But its time for an update.......
A couple of months back I managed to smash my hand in the lathe and was unable to work for 8 weeks.....all sorted now , but its left me with a dilemma.....I currently have too much work !
I'm trying to work through a massive backlog of subframe orders , so wont be taking any more orders for at least a couple of months - as I also have a few pullet sets and ITB's to do , as well as some drag bike work..... and there is still only 1 of me !

And as for the future ? I reach retirement age in just 4 months.....and I truly am worn out , too many old injuries , too many late nights , too much JD.......but damn its been fun .
I may continue to make parts , cant find anyone with the skills to do what I do (which is pretty much everything except CAD drawing (too old to learn , believe me I've tried)

to answer the most often asked question - yes , I do still make subframes ! I normally make `to order' due to the different specs , Na / Nb , RHD / LHD / engine mounts or not / powder coat or not - but due to a slight cockup , I have an Na finished subframe sat here spare , if you want it un-coated I can ship today ! EDIT - sold already ! happy to make more , as always 😊

lost for words , me !

Another race , another fantastic result - despite biblical rain on Friday meaning no practice , rain on Saturday giving us a single qualifying run (ruined by severe wheelspin putting me in the number 7 slot..... )

Sunday was mostly sunny , piggin cold , with the customary Santa Pod headwind , but a super sticky track . I had to get my `guess the settings' head on , and sort out the wheelspin , so into the clutch after nearly every run , along with dropping rear tyre pressure , and after the first round solo (Alan Ward failed to fire after an issue with the bike) , I was faced with some tough opposition .

1/4 finals had me against an 8 second runner , with me barely a tenth quicker , so I had to cut a good light.....and ran my quickest run of the day at that point .

Next up was semi final - and old adversary Len Paget - we raced together back in the 80's / 90's - and again no performance advantage , so the race was on.......identical reactions , identical 60ft times - but Lens motor cried `enough about 100 foot out , and I was on to an even quicker 8.70 at 148mph....and headed for a super tough final against the worlds quickest and fastest 750 H2

Back into the clutch , roll the dice....and get ready to lean on the lights......and KKevin Mellingbroke in the burnout (was looking forward to that race 🥺)

So a solo in the final , and taking a chance on setup - bang , fastest run of the weekend , a cracking tyre-shaking 8.62 @ 147

All of which keeps me at the front of the old school stockers championship , maybe even a fourth title 😮

that was fun to do - cut down nitrous cylinder and billet clamp-on bracket , all fittings welded internally - gotta love a bit old school manual machining 😁

It sure is nice to back working again , even at a reduced pace - work keeps coming in , and I am trying to get caught up !
But - here is the first kit to go out since my accident - Nb , LHD starter kit plus a set of pullies - gotta sort out packing it all tonight and get the courier booked now.....
